Jackie H Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Has anyone received notification that they will be trialling the 30hrs yet from Sept 2016. I read in an IAPs newsletter that N Yorkshire will be.
Cait Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Yes, that's right. Still waiting to hear official details
Guest Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 No change in Lincolnshire - £3.52 and £4.85 - we aren't an area trialling the 30 hours though. We were given this info last week.

I didn't manage to get to managers briefings this time but I didn't expect an increase anyway.. how many years is it now??? about 8 I think at that rate it's so unfair
Guest Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I think it is about 8 and it has a tendency to go down rather than up!!!
Guest Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Funnily enough Rafa the increases were mentioned, particularly how businesses are meant to fund them!! Not many answers except that we all need to make sure that we know when our break even point is!!!! How rude!!!! Also to check that effective ratios were in place - are we all using our 1:13 ratios for graduates for example!!!!!! A consultation is being undertaken at the moment to establish the effects but as we said it's a little after the horse has bolted when we have to implement them in April!!

Oh Ancaster, I could'nt 'like' what you said - 'cos I HATED IT!!! Rude?? It's downright insulting! I think I may have said - 'I had to let my 'graduate' go because I could'nt afford them' - complete idiots!!
narnia Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 we had the confirmation letter today of what we already knew................that our rate is going up a little 1
Guest Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Its all LA driven so it will very much depend where you are!!
GFCCCC Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 We got our rates from April until next March today - no change for us this year - 4.00 plus supplement for 3/4 tear olds and 4.88 for 2 year olds.

A consultation is being undertaken at the moment to establish the effects but as we said it's a little after the horse has bolted when we have to implement them in April!! Don't know about anyone else but we NEVER use our 1:13 ratio - it just doesn't work in a free-flow, child-led environment. Perhaps in a formal, controlled classroom type setting but that isn't best practice is it? 1
SueJ Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 No change again in our rates which have been the same since April 2013 - I only found this out because I asked too which I think is a bit much - surely we should be given the information without having to grovel for it!!! 1
Guest Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Have just received a letter from Kent LA. No increase here <_< Not sure whether the statement "our funding per pupil is 46th highest out of 151 LAs" makes me feel proud for our LA. Oh oh oh ladies. What are we going to do? How to remain sustainable?
sunnyday Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 What a long letter to tell us we are getting nothing, zilch in the way of an increase 1
Rafa Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 (edited) No nothing here either........seems they've raised the Living Wage, added in Pension payments and leaving us to rot!! Good job they listened to what we said in the 30hour 'consultation' isn't it......... Btw not saying where 'here' is in case of reprisal........ Edited March 10, 2016 by Rafa 3
sunnyday Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 In the words of the Kaiser Chiefs 'I predict a riot' Seriously though - it's all getting beyond a joke 3
finleysmaid Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Windsor and Maidenhead ..no increase so therefore a decrease !.....lets just hope the rent doesn't go up as well or we're going to struggle 1
Guest Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 For the qualified leader I will get 0.30p extra. If I was not self-employed and could pay myself a salary under the statutory teachers pay and conditions, I could have got 0.90p per hour supplementary rate. Are there any Early Years Teachers who earn £38,000?
eyfs1966 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Are there any Early Years Teachers who earn £38,000? Ha ha ha ha ha...have you not transposed the 3 and 8 in that salary if you are talking about nursery???????????

Guest Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Lol just Googled statutory teachers pay 2015 and this figure came up. It is the minimum pay to a Leading practitioner, while main pay ranges between 22244 and 32831. Anyway in my case even £22244 is not achievable.
HoneyPancakes Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 April-Aug 2015 WAS £6.50p for Childminders; WHAT!!??? I'm moving to where you are. £3.49 for childminders here.
AliceinWonderland Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Absolutely gobsmacked!! 1. The LA have actually informed what the rate is from April, although only 1 week before it comes in, so no time to budget! 2. They have INCREASED our rate!!! Only by 2p though
Fredbear Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 Well we haven't even heard yet. It's totally disgusting.
