What is this Privacy Policy for?

Your privacy is really important to us. With this in mind, we have written this privacy policy to explain what of your personal data we collect and how we use and store it.

What data do we collect and when?

Why do we collect it?

We collect information from the computer you use to access our site, to access our newsletters, to watch our videos, and/or listen to our podcasts so we can:

How do we store your data and who do we share it with?

We make use of subcontractors to provide our service to you and they may see some or all of the following data. They act on our behalf and do not do anything with your data other than what we instruct them to. Those instructions will be in line with this privacy policy.

Your personal data is stored within the EU. Our processing of your personal data is carried out within the EU.

Our forum is accessible from outside of the EU, so material you post may be viewed from outside of the EU.

Data shared with google may be transferred outside of the EU. In order to do this, they rely on the model contract clauses for data transfers approved by the EU. The data processed by Google will not include any personally identifying information but will include statistical data for establishing patterns.

Simplecast is based in the US so data shared with them will be transferred outside of the EU. This does not include and personally identifiable information. They may share non-personally-identifiable information with third-parties.

Mailchimp is based in the US so data shared with them will be transferred outside of the EU. They are certified in EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.

Preventing more data from being collected and deleting the existing data we have for you

You can stop subscribing to the forum by not renewing after 12 months. If your forum account has lapsed, we will only use the personal information that you have provided us to:

We will delete the personal information that you have provided us at most 7 years after your forum account has lapsed. At our discretion, the material you have posted may remain on the forum.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any point by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our newsletters. We will only keep your email address for as long as you give your consent to receive our newsletters.

If we change anything about what data we collect or how we handle it, we will update this policy to reflect that. You can see when the last time we updated our policy from the date at the very start of this policy. Please review it regularly. If we change anything substantial or anything to your detriment and we have your email address, we will contact you to let you know.
