Stargrower
So this year we have a Skyla, Syla, Isla and Myla? Can anyone top this? Edited September 11, 2015 by Stargrower
Panders
lol, no cant match that! I would be in a real pickle with that lot. I have a little boy with the initials ZZ which I think's really cool, when I say his name out loud I think a magician should appear on stage!

We're having enough trouble with a Lula and a Lila - not with the children you understand they're lovely just with tripping over their names

eyfs1966
what a fabulous thread! I think the forum might need to set up a "classic threads" category, and this one would definitely get my vote!

Guest
Nothing too far out so far, but plenty of 'A' names: Amy, Amber, Autumn, Ayden, Alina, which has proved interesting when trying to find pictures for our name cards. And Elsie and Elbie which could be one letter away from trouble too!
Tinahs
I told my husband that I am getting a Voseley. He looked surprised then asked if it was better for carpets than the Henry (Hoover)!

Inspired by conversations in the labour ward! Reminds me of that film, Shirley Valentine when Shirley says she thought Clitoris was a posh girls name! Sorry was that too rude to write?? lsp
We had a year when most of girls names either ended in 'y' 'ey or 'ie' sound or were shortened to include that sound. Millie, Ellie, Harriet to Harry, Katie, Holly. Over past couple of years we have a variation on a theme - Alexia, Alexie, Lexie and Lexi and of course they are all shortened to Lexi!! Nothing unusual yet. Old fashioned names seem to be coming back. Mind you this post seems very very tame compared to others - Panders?????
