  1. I'll be first in line!
  2. That's a shame as that's what I do. Are you not allowed them at all? I have mine late at night with a mug of hot chocolate and a bit of star watching.
  3. Lots of lovely knitting projects going on 😊 Froglet- my granddaughter would love your house! An elephant to sit on, and a dog to cuddle, she is totally animal obsessed!
  4. Love it! I've just been trying to read the instruction book and kept glazing over 😳 fortunately it's 'reasonably' similar to my old one🙂 I have a Bernina (updated my older one) Just need to decide what to actually make now, thinking of making some of the podlet things you were making last year? I won't be repairing gazebo's that's for sure as that's what upset my last machine 😬
  5. I know what you mean, I thought about the sewing bee 🤣 (on that subject I actually went our to a real shop today and bought a new sewing machine 😮... and I went to Tesco's! -first time in over two years!!!)
  6. Very nice...
  7. You just reacted to my post to quickly - get back to work and get it finished and done with! 🤣😊
  8. Well done - keep going!
  9. My thoughts entirely ! 😳 Feeling more positive/motivated today? 😊
  10. At least this was down a lane, the last one jammed up the whole high st through a busy town.
  11. And another today!
  12. That's beautiful ... as a pack away I'm now incredibly 🤢 (not ill!)
  13. Lorries are a pain! We had a spate of about 3-4 weeks when a few were parking up overnight down the bottom of our road as we are near to a border control point - luckily the parish council got onto it and it stopped. Also, I believe a lorry that took a wrong 'satnav' instruction was on one of those police/camera/action type programmes last week! It caused complete gridlock in the local town for a whole day.
  14. Sending positive thoughts your way, maybe set yourself a treat once x amount off list are completed?
  15. I was thinking about you and panders and the traffic. Been a quiet week for me, had the granddaughter for the usual two days - but at home instead of work. I rarely see her at work though, so had to put in more effort at home! 🤣🤣 It's funny how it's actually more tiring looking after one than a whole group! I'm now thinking I might buy a tuff spot and tray for the garden.
  16. Good move! 😊
  17. This is exactly what our little lad did! Fascinating, and we had to be careful what we comments wrote on the whiteboard after that 🤣
  18. Well the Whitsun/late May bank holiday usually falls in half term (for us anyway) so that's no change- but our LA have said we can have one day extra whenever we choose 😁 So we're finishing a day early at the end of term.
  19. I used to pay one week Christmas, one week Easter and the remainder in August - be be honest it didn't really work out a lot different to equal payments over the year. I'm a firm believer that my staff are fully grown adults that should be in charge of their own finances, and it wasn't up to me to arrange their pay to suit their DD/SO's for Sky payments etc! HOWEVER covid cracked me - when we closed down march 20 I made a plan so they all got paid (no furlough available for us). I've stuck with it now as it actually makes my life easier. They get the full workings out for the year on a sheet which they sign (my job this week), this includes the deductions rate if they are off, overtime obviously paid at hourly rate. I do allow time off for holidays- so if they have already booked I can factor this in if they want.
  20. Us too.... but we do offer flexible funding 🤷‍♀️🤣
  21. Same here, I can't remember when we last had a 'full house' (or even near it!)
  22. We had a child like that - we worked out he could read when he started picking up staff notebooks and reading them out! 😳
  23. We do too, staff sign a disclaimer saying that's how they want to be paid though - and no one is forced to be paid that way. I wouldn't do it that way for a long time, then Covid hit and it just seemed easier for everyone. (especially me working out monthly wages) You do need to be careful about having unpaid time off!
  24. I don't want to jinx it - but our seem quite good too.
