OK, I just want to put this out there - I salute all you here that have raised boys! I mean, i know they are different from working with them - but my, at home it's relentless 😂 I've had the GS for a sleep over and I'm now nervous wreck, he's a lovely little thing, no behaiour issues or anything....but a 'why walk when you can run' kind of child, and everything is so noisy car/trains have to crash all the time etc. Everything is just so full on 😜 On the plus side though, once in bed he takes about 3 minutes to fall alseep bless him 😘 ... unlike his much more chilled out sister, who would spend all night chatting if she could!

Well, I think CH must have picked up on all my failed attempts yesterday - as this morning I have had an email with 'step-by-step' instructions! 😂 I have decided not to do a 'list' today, as I'm really liked the 'timetable' idea instead. I just need to do something to keep the brain more focused- but still actually using it to remember to do things without visual prompts! 😂 x

Yes, I need to make a list or 'timetable' my time (I like that idea!). Ive been off since 17th July and hardly done anything productive! Google 'Anglo Doorstep Collections' and see if they operate in your area. They collect allsorts of things. Obviously they are a business- but you can choose a charity that gets a donation. Gets you motived as you have to book in advance 😊

I miss the good 'ole TDL - I stopped making them! That said, I can concur they are needed to focus ones brain, especially mine at the moment! I did actually make one this morning as I realised that I needed to get things done. It had three things on it 1- Sort postal voting updates ✔️ 5mins. 2 - Sort tree protection paperwork ✔️ - 10 mins. super easy and was able to scan all paperwork and not walk to post box in this heat 3 - Confrim paperwork with companies house. ❌ !!!!!! Should have been a 10-15 min max job (like the last 8 years) Over four hours later, lots of strong words, tears, and flared tempers, not to add around 5,000 new passwords, 'timed codes' sent and inputted ..... I am still no further on! All I need to do is confirm no changes and pay £35! 😂😂😂

Late again! House selling 😬!!!! Our buyers (parents house) asked us to drop 15K last minute - as they had had to drop their price after their survey, and thought we should do the same 😂 Our survey was fine and showed no problems. We politely pointed that that wasn't actually our problem so - no. Sale went through very swiftly after that. Hope you get yours sorted sunnyday. 🤞 Froglet - I finished last week, and still catching up on rest! Had a mixed week, couple of busy days, and a couple of lazy days. A quiet weekend planned, ready for a busy week ahead - hospital appoints, days out, catch up lunches with friends 😊... just hope it's not too hot again. xx

Well, my plans to sleep all day are over 😭! Daughter not feeling well 'can you have GS today - maybe a sleepover?' 😂. Love it really, he's pretty easygoing on the whole. Sunnyday- I too need to do some serious cutting back in the garden- and this weekends weather seems a good time.

Ok, clocking in early this week- as I may be asleep all day tomorrow 😂 We're done and finished for the year! I really want to thank Mouseketeer for her fantastic suggestion of the mini sports challenges!!!! It worked sooooooo well! We are never doing another concert is all I can say 😁 xx

I have to say it was remarkably easy! It took less than an hour - even Andy was impressed 😂 It has 4 arms and each line in indivually threaded and secured, I just need to do a few very minor half inch tweaks to a couple of the rounds but will do when not in the direct sun. Enjoy the Tennis. x

Hi Everyone! Good to hear Mr S is doing better, did you have a good lunch in the end? Forglet, hope you're feely better now. Actually managed to fill two green garden waste bins on Monday! (then remembered we'd gone two -weekly for collections and it wasn't our week 🙄😬) I'm now off to 'restring' the washing line- wish me luck! I was just going to buy a new one....until I saw the price of them 😮 replacement line £15 + a video link on how to do it, some reviews say allow 3-4 hours 😂😂😂 We have an afternoon tea tomorrow - a gift for doing 'hoilday garden duties' for a neighbour, so looking foward to that. Have a good weekend all xx

I think the heat has shifted up a bit, we've still got another hot day. Really hope you enjoy your lunch, I know what you mean about finding dates for everything! 😊 I got up to watch the storm, but it was nothing like the one during the week for us just flashes and distant rumbles.

Not sure about your area, but we're forcast another hot one tomorrow (although only low 30s!) I cancelled a meet-up Wednesday due to a lot of places closing early together with restricted menus. Might be better as it's a weekend though- rather than mid week?

Afternoon all. Just been on a relentless treak to try and find a fan for an elderly neighbour - no luck. Have lent her one of ours, and hopefully one ordered online should be here tomorrow. I think I'm going to spend the afternoon watching a Christmas film ...... in the hope it will make me feel cold! 😂 xx

Us Sountherners are softies .... many of us melt in the heat 😭 Not looking foward to it- I'd say that 25 is a heat wave for me! Lovely rose Cait. I have a beautiful orange one out at the moment, just wish I could remember the name. Froglet- those pots are going to fabulous in a few weeks!

Evening all! Another week flown by 😳, it actually scares me how fast time flys by! Nothing overly exciting here to report. Week-end_ off to see the GD do a group dance demonstration tomorrow- which is a really big thing for her, and I really hope the nerves don't get to her. Sunday a family BBQ to celebrate not only fathers day, but a few birthdays too. Not looking forwards to Monday/Tuesday - I'm really not a hot weather person. Sunnyday- Hope you're water supply hold out. Froglet - Hope you got some bargains tomorrow. xx

Sunnyday- what wonderful news! Finger's crossed it goes smoothly for you. 🤞🤞 Wet week, and a dry but very busy Friday so far ... and it's only lunchtime 😮..... added stress as I've just done a 'not so' helpful errand! Quickly run into the garden centre picked up two squishy unicorns paid for them, flew up the motorway (only 8 miles shoud add) dropped them off, came home and daughter phones as I walk in the door - the secruity tags are still on them🙄 I was talking and joking with the staff as I walked out with them, and did actually hear the alarms going off- but we all just laughed. Have also help sort a car breakdown, and completed a exercise class too already today. Planning a restful week-end. Hope everyone has a good weekend whatever you have planned. x

Wow thanks! Loving the idea of a mini sports challenge thing! Our's aren't to phyiscal towards us thankfully - although one staff member did get bitten a few weeks ago, but to be honest it was partly her own fault reallly. A few years ago we had a child start with us, mum told us english was his first langage. Well on his first session he was throwing chairs at staff running kicking etc. Turns out he did not have one word of english..... once we actually stopped talking to him and just used visuals he turned into one of our most well behaved children! Poor thing, he'd had to put up with a lot of old women chasing him around saying gobble-di-gook to him!...he must have been petrified! x
