That was me for us! I actually took a sewing machine in and got the older children involved with making them 😁😁 Next week the machines going in again and we're making bean-bags (throwing sort) -

I would think if they are geniunely competent (ie not only just started- but well into their courses) then this would be covered? 1: 8 over 3s 1:5 2yrs. = 13. So technically 2 staff needed - which could be one L3 and one L2 ? As you would actually have 3 staff then fine? We don't acutally use the 1:5 for two years olds, but it is handy in emergencies. -
Trust me... biscuits never get forgotten in this house - hence the need to for the dance/fitness class! 😂

Afternoon all, Just back from a dance/fitness class... new year/new you and all that! 😂 (may have a short nap this afternoon to recover fully 🤔) Like Sue - a very murky day here too. I am trying to declutter the house at the moment with not a lot of success, I just seem to be making more mess as I keep finding long forgotten bits/bobs that look interesting!😂

😂 Well, do you remember that storm in Dec when we were supposed to go to Wales.... well it was rebooked (back in Dec) for this weekend 😂.... it was touch and go for a while as to whether we went or not - but we did end up going, and, although I bit windy all good in the end. Saturday was actually a beautiful day. Just back home, time for a cup of tea and now watching Country File- whilst planning maybe a weekend in the New Forest now 🤔😁😂

It certainaly has whooshed by!! We are now mid Jan, and this usually seems like the longest month of the year- not this year

😂 When my GD is here we always have to play 'baby born' .... my daughter assures me she [GD] has never watched Call the Midwife- personally I'm not so sure this is true!😂

Almost forgot it was Friday! Cold here, bu the only snow we've had was 1am last Saturday night- and that was mostly gone by the morning. No plans for anything but a lazy weekend! 😊

Hi All! Nothing much happening here today, although I have offered to help prepare food for the GDs 5th birthday party tomorrow... where did those 5 years go? 😮 Very cold here, and hoping we can escape the snow this weekend. ❄️❄️❄️

It's funny you should say that- as personally I know more poorly people at present than duing the whole of the pandemic! Andy is currenlty on his second lot of antibiotics for a chest infection, ... my daughter's MIL is in hospital (ambulance Christmas day) with some kind of infection, and lots of other friends, family and neighbours all ill! So many meet-ups have been cancelled.

I love the afternoon tea tradition! We do similar but in April (on my late mum's birthday) However we do have to 'ditch' the GS as he has no table manners whatsoever! 😂 Did you go up and see the lights? If so was it good ? We were going to go yesterday too. I'd planned the Southbank, then Covent Garden, up to Carnarby Street then home - but too cold and windy for the two little ones so did Christmas crafts instead! x

Morning 😊 All good here- only I promised to make the GD a 'unicorn onsie' for Christmas - currently seriously wishing I hadn't made that promise though!! Best get back to the sewing machine... 😂 xx

Morning all. Lots of church cleaning going on! (and not by me 😮 ...I used to be on a rota when I ran the rainbows though) Sunny day, Ive finished until 7th Jan😂 now 😁 Party yesterday, and staff meail out last night. I've decided I need to make an effort to decorate the tree now, it's been up over a week sitting sad and bare... although that said, we have new** neigbours three doors down and they have lit up the missive oak tree in their garden so I recon I could have got away with not having a tree this year as we can see it from our living room!😂 ** I say 'new neigbours' , but the funny thing is they were our neighbours three doors down when we were in our first house almost 45 years ago! cx

Yes, we felt our trip was more 'frivolous' just meeting family and freinds for some Christams markets etc. I hope he finally get here safetly. It seems a lot windy-er here now! Watching SCD and have heard a few pots and things going over outside.

Hello, I'm still here! 😄 We decided to bail out and have rebooked for January. Weather forcast very bad, and we were visiting family along with a few Christmas Markets, many of the markets now cancelled due to the forcasted high winds and rain, one family has Norovirus, Andy has a chest infection - so figured it was best not to go. I do now however feel like I've got an 'extra weekend' thrown into the mix. Very relaxing with nothing planned, I may make a few cards I think. The downside is I now have to decorate my own Christmas tree as the plan was for my GD to do it as a 'surprise' for us while we were away. Still a bit early for me to be honest but it's now up and looking rather strange undecorated at the moment 😂 Please note- I like to talk about, and plan Christmas early, but I'm not one to put a tree up in November 😂😂😂!!! I spotted Trekker -from old - posting somewhere else on the forum and I've suggested visiting this thread for a catch up. Mind you- it she starts at page one it will take to the new year to get to this page! Still very quite here and I hope everyone is ok. Have a good weekend, and I hope it's not too 'wild and windy' for all (can't believe I'm writing that sitting here insunshine and clear blue skies at the moment!) Cx

Feel bad not answering, but we don't really have any sleepers, but for the odd one or two that do fall asleep (or not well waiting for a pick-up) we provide the sheets then washed when used. We keep them folded in sets, and each kept in it's own small calico shopping bag- the whole set/bag then gets washed when used. Stored flat on a self in our cupboard. .... anyway that aside- pop pver to the Friday thread and join in with us oldies! -
Hi everyone! ....and welcome back Gezabel 😁 I've been away for my Christmas break with the family. Had to laugh as at one of the activities - toy making- GD made (a kit form) reindeer but they didn't have any brown paint... the 12 year old 'elf' running the activity was amazed that I knew exactly how to make the 'best reindeer brown she had ever seen' I didn't let on why I was so good at it 😂!!! Sunnyday- I would have loved to attended your wreath making workshop, but I'm off to Wales on Thursday... Kent would have been so much closer and i think it would have been fun! I'm watching strictly and really admire Chris and his amazing skills at picking the dancing up, also I have warmed to Pete. I didnt really like him at first but he has impoved so much- whilst the other remaining celebs where already pretty good to start with. Have a good weekend all.

Hi everyone! Very cold here! We did have some snow Tuesday morning I was stuck in traffic driving through the forest and it really was quite beautiful watching the big flakes falling all around me........ then 30 mins later all gone - my kind of snow ❄️ Time flying past and I'm away next week, then only two more weeks at work!😮😮😮 Not sure where this term has gone. Only just heard of 'Bert' I do hope he's kind 🙃 cx
