I just want to get through the next three weeks!!

That pretty much explains how I feel, if I'm honest I actually like this new was of life (current restrictions) as it seem to promote a less stressful way of living. I find I don't need to go shopping for things I previously thought I needed!! It all seems a much simpler. Very worrying for you down there. Hope your husband remains well. My cousin lives in Falmouth so we've been following developments, we were hoping to visit her next month with the fast growing up 'baby', but we'll be leaving it a bit longer now I think.

Cold here! The heating has come on 🙀.... I'm laying on sofa (looking at a pile of work stuff), with a cat snuggled up and blanket over us both!

Well it's here again!🙀 Is it just me or does it seem to be going faster than ever this year? Nothing much planned for this weekend due to weather. We've never really been big on celebrating fathers day anyway-so that'd not an issue for us. Had 'what do we do' about the leavers day panic, but got that sorted now too. Had good news from our landlords (scouts) they need to make changes to the hall so they can run Covid safe in the autumn/winter ... and it works in our favour! Means a very serious sort out of our cupboard during the summer- but we'll get much easier access storage. they even offered the manpower to help move everything! 😊

Strange here, think we have by-passed the worst so far. Rained 9-11ish. Nothing in night- very possibly a very distant rumble.... This morning damp and very humid but not raining just 'dampness in the air'.

Friday again! I can't believe we've only been back a week, seems a lot longer 😳 I good week on the whole, although our landlords (scouts) have been having the flat roof part of the building done and it's been sooooo noisy 😭 but at least the good weather means we've been outside most of the time.

We have seriously cut down the amount of stuff we have out. If children are showing a genuine interest in certain resources we will get more out though.

Oh, I love a take-out one too!!! My daughter's birthday tomorrow and we were thinking about a delivered afternoon tea [we have one that delivers complete with stand 😊] ..but I didn't dare book it as we are due a very eminent Ofsted and I felt booking it would jinx the day! You have my sympathies, I've spent a couple of hours trying to pay my electric bill online 😭 I've given up and written a cheque!!!

Not sure really, but watching this with interest as we had to re-register so are now technically a youngish setting (I took all the old paperwork and dumped it with the last owner (on Ofsted's recommendation I should add!). I am determined not to fall into the trap of saving loads. I have been brutal with the accident forms though and we are not keeping all the 'cuts/scratches' etc. Head bumps yes keeping.

Well I am well and truly pooped! I'd forgotten how much work littlies are! She's 17 months (can't believe how quickly time has gone!). She was like a little angel I have to say. And in true form I took her home and she totally ignored mum at first 🤣 (can't believe how nervous I felt driving on the motorway with her!😳- and it's only I junction 12mins !!!!) Glad everyone seems to have a good break, all the pets are well again 😊. Zigzag hope your mum is recovering well, I fully understand what you mean about mixed feeling about going back - I honestly think the whole Covid thing had finished me- I would quite happily not go back Monday 😭. I am definitely thinking about my 'exit plan' now... I was hoping to pass it on to my deputy- but she has said when I go she goes 🙀!!!! I'm not help with films I'm afraid. I do still think about that film about the lighthouse keeper - I found it so moving. (forgotten the name)

The week's flown by (I always feel a bit short changed when bank-holidays fall in the holidays!) We are overnight babysitting for the first time tonight 🙀. Not really done anything all half term. Our cat was very poorly at the weekend and we feared the worst, but she's recovered, and up to mischief again now. 😊

Good to hear 😊. But we do still need to plan the party - I'm going to make an 'afternoon tea cake'. I need a good excuse to try making one!😂

Hope your mum mends quickly. Looks like you'll have a busy half term! We had a staff inset day today, and it was good to just all catch up on paperwork and be able to laugh and chat for the morning. Every one has been so stressed this term, and I feel all staff are mentally exhausted - I know I am. It's the constant 'back of the mind' worry about everything going on. Scary it only six weeks left when we go back! 🙀 How are you feeling about this sunnyday? - it must be a really strange surreal feeling. I feel we should all have a retirement party for you!

Yet another week gone by... The children are so very LOUD this term! Behaviour on the whole good- just very very loud. I've worked three days - my new normal 😁 I've had my 2nd jab. No real reaction, although I bit uncomfortable at night as I lay on my side, and my cat lays on the other shoulder!!! - so a no win situation🤣

Yes, we tend to use the essential information page too. However I've just gone onto our LA [Essex] website to look for it and I can't even find it now! 😂 The website is so difficult to navigate I think I'll give up looking. The advisors push the documents- but not easy to find unless they send a direct link.... me think's our LA need to do a bit of 'working in partnership' like they keep telling us to! -

Not sure, but we we had our re-registraiton visit Ofsted were very quick to tell me we shouldn't be relying on LA audits/ paperwork as they [LA], usually have there own agenda when creating these, and they do not necessarily fit in with what Ofsted want to see!
