  1. Sam = S.A.M = Steroid Appointment Maker ? 🤣
  2. Try again 🤣 Sunnyday, when i had a steriod injection a few years ago the physio said 'trust me, you may wake up at 3am in so much pain you will want to seek me out for revenge... however in about 5 or so days you may want to give me a thank-you hug"
  3. That is a busy weekend! I'm sitting wondering whether I can make the effort to do an inpromtu lunch for 2.5 today! 😱 (and even that's just for daughter and GD 🤣, infairness I've seen them most days this week hence indecision)
  4. I forgot it's Friday 😳 Anyway, Sunnyday I would go with the injection. Froglet, I can give no advice my house currently looks like a jumble sale donation point! Happy Easter everyone 🐣 xx
  5. I had to think about that for a few mins. My sister-in-law was my best friend (well until things went wrong..and thn well- my brother is my brother- so the best friend is no more, although we do still talk 🙂) Friday again and the granddaughter has arrived for a sleep over. She is very good with her new litter brother but you can see she is feeling a little 'put out' and is a bit more clingy and climbing all over me 😭 ... and she has just aksed if grandma and grandpa will take her back to Peppa Pig World and that 'mummy and baby can stay at home!' 🤣 Have a good weekend everyone, and yes it is the end of term (well for us anyway) xx
  6. My sister-in-law has no children - but the bond she has with her nieces and nephew are fantatic, and she is genuinley seen/treated as a grandparent by their children.
  7. Morning everone, have a good weekend. Anyone doing anything exciting?
  8. One thing intrigues me, the instructions say about massaging in the skin but doesn't mention feet so I am curious about that???? I just slapped the stuff on all over! 🤣
  9. Well I slept well, but I have had a few bad nights. It did feel very nice on my feet- and my arms/legs! 😁
  10. Well, I guess we will just move from early education and simply provide childcare then!! We can just let the children get on with it- no more positive interactions etc... just get in as many as possible and then just 'firefight' any squabbles between the children.
  11. Happy Birthday Panders! 🐼 🎂🥂🎈🎈🎈🎉 How are the knees Sunnyday and Zigzag? Anyone else just got the sleeping foot butter? (my name for it) Mine just arrived- and smells lovely. Froglet, I hope you manage to get a restful week-end without to much 'work' work going on. Have a good week-end every one. x
  12. Thanks for that recommendation! I'm with the 'insomnia crew' too. Like you, one good night = 2/3 bad nights 🙁
  13. 2024/5 ! I was just reading that you would need to conceive a baby Dec 2024 onwards to get the full benefits!
  14. Well, to be fair going better than expected- when given a baby-boy doll (in preparation) ... she threw to the side saying "that's discusting!!!!" I must admit she's not a 'doll' kind of child, and if mum had had a teddy bear rather than a numan baby things would be a lot different 😂
  15. A boy, and the granddaughter is not that amused at the moment - we're up to day 6 and she will at least sit next to him now! 😂
  16. Certainly is Friday again! And what a week!!! Baby finally arrived yesterday 😁 - but not after an easy time 🙁 I've had the granddaughter since Saturday when mum-to be went in to be induced- which then ended with a c/s yesterday. Baby absolutely fine, my daughter on the otherhand really had a bad time. But that was all yesterday and things are looking good again today. We had snow Wednesday (I think) so was up early for a snowball fight and buliding a very small snowman 😂. Wel, my kind of snow because it was gone by lunchtime! Anyway, I'm a tad worn out and I realise I have an incredibly bossy grandaughter 😳😂😂 Have a good weekend everyone, and Froglet- I hope your staff meal went well, you are a very kind person, and, although I've not met you- you remind me of my dear friend. (she has just set up a yoga class for her school- adults not children)
  17. Nope! He is far, far to comfortable where he is!!! 😳 Hope you at least starting finding a little improvement each with the old kness (both you and zigzag) Very cold here today- I really hoped spring was on the way 😬 Have a good weekend everyone x
  18. They all seem so full on!
  19. Someone remind me -How many weeks until Easter break ? 😭😭🤣
  20. Yes, I found some sketchers walking boots online and reading the reviews it seem they have diffrent 'insides' (for want of a better word). I too have some 'go walk' sketchers which are for normal everyday type walking, and while away went back to wearing those for walks as we had such good weather and lets face it Suffork is very flat 😂
  21. It's seem I'm not alone with the challenging children this year! Personally my thoughts are--- can l lock either the child or myself in the cupboard for a little while? We have the Tale teller, the sweary child, the tantrum child, and a couple of high pitched screamers! I did say early on this is the year that will break me into retirement! 😂 Parents blame it on covid - personally I blame it on bad parentling. Maybe covid is partly responsible for the children becoming more dependend on 'screens' - but I certainly feel much bad - sorry 'negative' behaviours are due to inapropriate things being watched. Not going to lie some of my staff also seem to need a rocket somewhere to be a little more motivated at the moment 😭 Think I am going to have a little chat about me retiring and 'shall we call it a day' for the preschool - that might make them actually take there roles a bit more seriously in planning out the day! Well. that's it for the moaning. Hope everones knees, hips and ankles are all holding out this week. 😊 I did so much walking last week that i actually had blisters on the sole of my heel! never had that before- not painful but definitely uncomfortable 😳 Time for some proper walking shoes I think - can anyone recommend a good pair/make? I'm thinking skechers but not sure. Tomorrow is the due date for the new grandchild 😮 he doesn't appear to be in any hurry to get here though. Have a good weekend everyone x
  22. Swollen ankles need to be taken seriously- I would at least ring Drs/nurse and check 🙂 ... Although if your drs are like ours around here you could be still trying to get throught to them until next monday anyway 🙁
  23. He's a cockerpoo- but on the big side so looks like a small labradoddle. He's gone home now, but was a complete pleasure to have here, and I really hope he comes to stay again. Even the cat loved the company and kept following him around to sit next to him.
  24. I'm not really sure... sort of big and black! He is very much like the tibetan terrior we used to look after- but more chunky!!! He is elderly though, and very easy going- a walk for him is just a quick 5/10 mins down the road and back.
  25. Hi everyone! Just back from a lovely break in Suffolk with an old friend, we had fantastic weather plus lots of walking, talking, wine and eating! We are dog sitting for the weekend 😁 First time he has stayed here but he seems to have settled well aready.
