  1. I’m so very sad to hear this, I know only too well how heartbreaking miscarriage after natural conception is let alone after IVF. My thought are with you all. Xx
  2. Oh my actual goodness! 😲😲 Well that’s good then!
  3. Yes it is one of only three places in the uk where you can see the divide between the earths crust and the mantle!
  4. So this was yesterdays work view, the little boat in the bay actually has my husband and son on it! Won’t be such a nice view today as it’s grey and rainy and I’m only in the parish hall!
  5. I’m really terrible for this! I talk to the dog all of the time and my husband will say are you talking to the dog or me! I have to be really careful when I’m out walking her as I’m sure people think I’m a crazy lady who talks to herself!🤣
  6. We had heavy rain in the night but we need a whole lot more!
  7. Yes the same here, I got so excited and then 30 seconds later it was flipping baking again! Truro, which is about 30 miles from us had a massive flood on one of the roundabouts, cars could only just about drive through🤯
  8. It’s a small world!
  9. Used to love going up there on our holidays, such a lovely part of Kent. Since they moved back down to Cornwall I only ever go to Orpington now where my brother is, which isn’t as nice!
  10. It looks beautiful Sunnyday. My Mum and Dad used to live in Fordcombe in Kent which I assume is quite similar. Love the Kentish countryside so different from down here. Doris was a star!
  11. I saw that and wondered if it was your village!
  12. Don’t forget I’m not enjoying it I am actually cleaning peoples homes and holiday homes and in this heat it’s not much fun!🥵🥵 Only the holiday makers are enjoying the beaches at the moment. All though I did get a deserted beach yesterday morning but it was before 6am!
  13. Brilliant news, congratulations. Wishing them well for the next few months.
  14. Another day at work and another terrible view to contend with!
  15. To be completely honest I couldn’t get to grips with it at all. I found it far to loose and airy fairy. I loved the old EYFS and was really happy using it and still don’t understand why they changed it. I know a lot of people are raving about the new one but not me. I actually think it was just one more curriculum change too many for me and was a small part that contributed to my decision to leave early years.
  16. This is Coverack (we actually live in the next village) it’s down on the lizard peninsular in Cornwall. I never take it for granted just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful place but at the moment I’m hardly leaving home as it is bedlam down here. Honestly feels like the whole world and his wife are here!
  17. It didn’t even look at its best today either! Nice view but blooming hard work!
  18. My view from work today!
  19. I did a changeover this morning so didn’t make it out early with the dog, subsequently my walk this afternoon was a disaster as there are just so many tourists everywhere! Please understand I have nothing against people having a lovely holiday but it is just so busy here! And it’s sometimes quite trying! We also live a really short walk from the very popular Roskillys farm. Which gets inundated everyday because their ice cream is so delicious. If ever you are in Cornwall you must visit its amazing.
  20. Our grass is green around the edges and brown and crispy in the middle of the lawn! We had some rain in the night a couple of nights ago but it made no difference at all. I’m trying so hard not to water the veg garden and pots too much because of the water shortage buts it hard seeing things wilt!
  21. Can’t sew to save my life but enjoy your last day froglet. Then try and have some relaxing time! Sunnyday you have some very strange things going on up your end! I hope they are soon resolved? Well I picked up another cleaning job this week, cleaning our Parish hall on a weekly basis. I cannot get my head around what I am being paid now to just clean, compared to what I was paid at school! It is absolutely crazy! I might have done this years ago if I’d realised!
  22. Sunnyday you are so kind. I’m fine, Friday was very strange and emotional. Luckily my chairperson knows me well and knows that I don’t do fuss or attention at the best of times and she quietly passed on a present from the committee with no fuss. I had some beautiful cards, flowers and presents and feel very lucky. I held it together until I got home and read the cards then I did get emotional. Now to be honest and I never thought I would say it I feel nothing but relief. I’ve taken myself of all the messenger pages and Tapestry (which strangely was the one which affected most) Now I just need to walk the new manager through the first payroll and funding task and the I’m done completely. Full steam into the cleaning jobs next week!
  23. Louby Lou congratulations hope all is well! We had one day where the humidity was horrendous. We just are not used to it down here at all. It’s now a pleasant heat again thank goodness. Well this is it folks, my last day! Did a handover to the new manager yesterday and apart from helping her with the first payroll and funding task that’s it! I feel very strange, so just going to enjoy my last morning with the children and try very hard not to cry! If it’s your last day of term have a lovely one.
  24. Sunnyday, how’s the water situation? Hope everyone up country is coping with the heat ok. Stay safe all. Xx
  25. Louby Lou, you need to come and join my club! Five sessions and counting!!
