  1. Ahh, knew he was somewhere else to go.
  2. Charles and Anne must be emotionally and physically exhausted and my heart goes out to them. To do what they are doing with such dignity is truly amazing. I thought todays events were very moving and beautiful. I think Charles has to go to Ireland on Friday and then I hope the family get some time together to grieve like a normal family. Im finding myself so emotional and raw with this and have shed tears for the queen when I still can’t for my Dad which I don’t understand. I keep thinking how emotional he would have been with all this and how he would have been so proud of how the queen is being respected and all the pageantry. He loved the queen so much and was so honoured to parade past her once at the Cenotaph with his Korean War regiment.
  3. They will probably continue to ripen through September I would imagine (as long as we get some more sun!)
  4. It’s very sad, what a remarkable lady, a true inspiration. It feels very surreal.
  5. This is the musical not the film. Xx
  6. I’ve had an annoying cough for the last 3.5 weeks finally realised maybe it was a bit more than a cough so contacted the doctor and have got antibiotics for a chest infection and drops for a mouth and throat bacterial infection! Had to have a very uncomfortable conversation with a doctor about why I didn’t want to deal with him. This doctor was the reason my Dad had a catastrophic bleed and nearly died and then had the last two years of his life completely ruined. He prescribed super strong pain killers to my Dad who should never have been given these as he was also on a blood thinning tablet and the pain killers should never be prescribed without stomach lining tablets which he was not given. As soon as I said my Dads name he said “yes that should never have happened, I apologise” He had two years to apologise to my poor Dad and he never did! I found it a very frustrating and upsetting conversation. We are off to see the fisherman’s friends musical at the theatre tomorrow, so really looking forward to that. Hopefully the weather won’t be too terrible for travelling. Looking forward to NOT returning to school next week and finally handing over the monitoring of the email account etc!
  7. They look so happy, hope you all had a special day. X
  8. They are fabulous.
  9. I’m so very sad to hear this, I know only too well how heartbreaking miscarriage after natural conception is let alone after IVF. My thought are with you all. Xx
  10. Oh my actual goodness! 😲😲 Well that’s good then!
  11. Yes it is one of only three places in the uk where you can see the divide between the earths crust and the mantle!
  12. So this was yesterdays work view, the little boat in the bay actually has my husband and son on it! Won’t be such a nice view today as it’s grey and rainy and I’m only in the parish hall!
  13. I’m really terrible for this! I talk to the dog all of the time and my husband will say are you talking to the dog or me! I have to be really careful when I’m out walking her as I’m sure people think I’m a crazy lady who talks to herself!🤣
  14. We had heavy rain in the night but we need a whole lot more!
  15. Yes the same here, I got so excited and then 30 seconds later it was flipping baking again! Truro, which is about 30 miles from us had a massive flood on one of the roundabouts, cars could only just about drive through🤯
  16. It’s a small world!
  17. Used to love going up there on our holidays, such a lovely part of Kent. Since they moved back down to Cornwall I only ever go to Orpington now where my brother is, which isn’t as nice!
  18. It looks beautiful Sunnyday. My Mum and Dad used to live in Fordcombe in Kent which I assume is quite similar. Love the Kentish countryside so different from down here. Doris was a star!
  19. I saw that and wondered if it was your village!
  20. Don’t forget I’m not enjoying it I am actually cleaning peoples homes and holiday homes and in this heat it’s not much fun!🥵🥵 Only the holiday makers are enjoying the beaches at the moment. All though I did get a deserted beach yesterday morning but it was before 6am!
  21. Brilliant news, congratulations. Wishing them well for the next few months.
  22. Another day at work and another terrible view to contend with!
  23. To be completely honest I couldn’t get to grips with it at all. I found it far to loose and airy fairy. I loved the old EYFS and was really happy using it and still don’t understand why they changed it. I know a lot of people are raving about the new one but not me. I actually think it was just one more curriculum change too many for me and was a small part that contributed to my decision to leave early years.
  24. This is Coverack (we actually live in the next village) it’s down on the lizard peninsular in Cornwall. I never take it for granted just how lucky we are to live in this beautiful place but at the moment I’m hardly leaving home as it is bedlam down here. Honestly feels like the whole world and his wife are here!
  25. It didn’t even look at its best today either! Nice view but blooming hard work!
