Yes we have those too, 3 times a year for Managers & Deputys only and it's in an evening, geat to meet up with other people going through the same stresses but it's only an 1.5hr long so it's very rushed - oh and importantly it's free! :1b

louby loo Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 When it's our local private school's turn to run the learning community sessions they lay on afternoon tea :-) :-) :-) X 1
AliceinWonderland Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) We've never had any sort of meeting like that! Mind you haven't had any rise in funding for 2 years either so i suppose they had nothing to discuss! Oh and we would be lucky if they discussed anything to do with any future funding with us. Edited October 27, 2015 by pebbles133
tish501 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 The meeting also covers lots of things....current SEND procedure (but no help forthcoming)....Latest Ofsted preferences , I should count myself lucky that they bother really,,,and during that week there may be 5/6 same meetings around the county...

Guest Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I went to my owners and managers meeting and they provide tea and coffee but no biscuits! We got told that our lea has put themselves forward for the 30 hrs to start sept 2016 and as they have done this sort of thing before they think they will be given approval. Also that the funding for those extra 15 hrs is for those onmin wage and above. No decision has been made yet about amax wage limit.
Fredbear Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 What about raising the funding levels, any discussion about that.
Guest Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Our funding has increased by 23p per hour from sept to april next year as they wait tohear about the review

Some good news there marley :1b Our funding in sunny Kent has increased by the princely sum of 1p per hour over the last five years - it's beyond a joke

lashes2508 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Received email from funding asking for costs of unfounded sessions , I replied and added my concerns and thoughts regarding the 30 hours funding and how this will affect us . Why say a few words when you can say plenty ! 3

Fredbear Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Hi Lashes I know I'm in your county too, but we haven't received an email. Perhaps their too scared to send me one. 1
lashes2508 Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 We currently charge £11.50 per 3 hour session and lunch club ( 1 hour ) at £3 , this is additional to FEEE funding , we will struggle with regards to the new entitlement as we do not open for 30 hours a week therefore this could result in parents using other providers for childcare which goes against our ethos of providing affordable childcare in the local and wider community , as a charitable provider the current funding only just covers our outgoings . Dear Provider Following on from the Government’s consultation on the costs of childcare and subsequent review of the FEEE hourly rates we would like to ask your assistance in gathering some evidence to present to the DfE. We are gathering data on how many children access hours additional to their free entitlement and would like some information on what parents are charged for the additional hours. According to the latest headcount you have children at your setting that are accessing hours additional to the FEEE. Would you be able to tell us what you are charging parents for these additional sessions please? Please be assured the information we are gathering is purely to enable us to review funding rates and determine what/if any level of increase there should be and any evidence we present to the DfE will be anonymous
