  1. Welly Racks

Are these ones easy to move around? Or do they become heavy when fully stocked?
  2. Welly Racks

Hi Zigzag, Thanks for the reply. The one I have been looking at is quite compact with 3 tiers, storing 24 boots. Wherever I have looked, no one has reviewed any of them!
  3. Hi, We are a packaway setting that requires some storage for wellies. Can anyone give any feedback on the small welly trolley that holds 24 pairs or on any other welly storage? We have to take everything out to a shed so it needs to be able to cope with concrete paths and door thresholds. Any ideas?
  4. Have you thought of having something that smells of Mum? Perhaps a scarf with her perfume on?
  5. Glitter Ban

Go on. I dare you! "Please Miss, they're using that rude word again"
  6. Remind me why I should be doing this job

And you are paid to jump in puddles! Who else could add that to their CV?!
  7. Invoicing

I'm with Wildflowers. Can't see what you would gain by invoicing funded families.
  8. Ofsted questions for staff

Am I the only one who thinks that asking for proof of purchase is beyond the remit of an Ofsted inspector?
  9. Parent wants copies of accident forms

I once had to give copies to Mum with PR to pass on to solicitor as Dad had queried injuries on child and had inferred that bumps and bruises had been caused by Mum. I was quite happy to provide copies as evidence. I hasten to add that they were very minor injuries like " fell over on path, scrape to knee". Nothing more was said after that. Maybe your parent wanted a fuller picture of child's life at school.
  10. Cool Milk and NMRU

I also just buy what we need during the snack shop and top up during the week. Once a quarter I just add up what we've spent and send off the claim form. They pay up really quickly. (I didn't really approve of Cool Milk's methods - they were quite happy to go with the most expensive supplier)
  11. socket covers risk assessment

Having covers removed sounds okay in principle, but who is going to be the designated person who has to explain to the landlord why the sockets are full of playdough, beads, bogies (!) etc!!
  12. Potty training

Crikey! I'm definitely in the wrong job!
  13. Week 1

Lots of 2year old newbies this term so we will start off with very basic provisions to avoid sensory overload. Simple jigsaws, coloured bricks, threading, dressing up etc. Trains are a good icebreaker too.
  14. Watching this with interest. For the first time we will be in this situation. Child is very SEND and couldn't cope with reception. Family are pinning their hopes on specialist provision. While I am happy to keep child, we will not get ENF. (Rarer than Hens teeth in this area) "not exceptional enough". Amazing how a panel can decides this without ever meeting the child. Perhaps it should be mandatory for panels to meet these children or watch video footage before they make sweeping statements that can have long lasting repercussions on the family. (Rant over!)
  15. Pre-school song

We use the mulberry bush song and sing "This is the way we say goodbye, say goodbye, say goodbye. This is the way we say good bye at pre school in the morning" The children wave their arms in the air as we sing it. Works well for us.
