Melba Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Sudden paper towel shortage at work We usually get them through the local school, they have none. I tried to buy some through hubby's work, they don't have any. I tried to buy them from any possible shop near enough to get to. None! We can order for Tuesday but tomorrow will be fun! Where have all the towels gone?! Quote
blondie Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 think the site manager at my setting has them all locked away in his cupboard lol :1b Quote
Panders Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 bookers - wholesale. but I do use Plenty paper towels, they are very strong and can easily be used in an emergency. Quote

Fredbear Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Ha ha Rafa that did make me chuckle, as this is exactly where ours are going at the moment. Those little gremlins keep doing it as none of the children know anything about it. Lol:). We get ours from A to Z supplies.:) 1 Quote

sunnyday Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 ...........i know where they've gone........in the waste bin....10 at a time!!! Love it - tissues 10 at a time too for my little lovelies! Except for when I'm quick enough with my 'whoa you only need one' 3 Quote
Panders Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I stood at the loo door today handing out the paper towels one at a time to the boys! Great I thought, must press home the message. Much later in the morning, the boys loo is just by the front door - found the boys using the very expensive hand pump soap we use to wash their hands with to clean the front step with! Honestly, you turn your back for a moment! 2 Quote
zigzag Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Made me chuckle to realise everyone has the same problem. Ours also chant, one towel only and the older children get really cross when they find a whole pile of dry towels in the bin. We actually have one four year old who has made it his responsibility to monitor hand washing time for floods and towel over usage!! He stands there with his arms folded and a superior look on his face!! Really hope he is not copying staff!!! 3 Quote

Was thinking it was a vendetta against me - everytime the staff said those immortal words "we're running out of paper towels"........... I would go in the cupboard and quietly curse...........grrrrrrrrrrrr 1 Quote
LKeyteach Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I store the spare towels under my desk. Rest of staff not keen to go crawling there so also help with the mantra "1 towel at a time" 2 Quote

Cait Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I had a great stock of terry towelling face cloths -over 200, We used those as a link between home and school. They had a towel that they were familiar with, and then dropped it into the bin, as they would a paper towel. I brough them home and washed them each day. It was a bit of a faff, but I felt it was well worth it. I didn't need to wash every day, just when there was a full load, as there were so many of them. Quote

If I owned our setting (or if it were charity run!!) this would be my preferred option too. :1b 1 Quote
