Cait Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 So it was a good night last night for it! Will we get another show tonight, I wonder? I didn't take the pic, farcebook friend who is happy for me to share 3 Quote
Panders Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Fabulous Cait - all I need now is for supermoon to shine tonight! Not holding out too much hope though, still very grey and cloudy down here. Quote
Stargrower Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Wow Cait, that's beautiful! We very rarely get a sight this far south in East Anglia. Crossing fingers for a clear morning tomorrow to 'see the sun smile' but I think we're in for thick, grey cloud. Quote
Rea Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Oh how lovely. I stood in my back garden and watched the sky but apart from a different paleness I didnt see anything at all. Quote
sunnyday Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I am soooooooo jealous - thank you for sharing..... Quote
Cait Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 That's Maryport. Cloudy tonight, so not much chance. Won't be frosty tho! Quote
Froglet Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Wow - beautiful! I have never seen this in real life. Quote
Fredbear Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Truly wonderful. The northern lights is on my husbands wish list of places to visit. Having those images here is hard to believe. Not sure we will be going anytime soon though. Thank you for sharing.:) Quote
Guest Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 So jealous When I saw the news report saying we'd be able to see it, I got excited then read where it would be visible from and my heart sunk. I'm too far south. Quote
apple Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Oh my wow wow wow where on earth! was this taken? And were filters used to get that intense colour? Quote
Inge Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Makes me very envious... always wanted to see this but always lived too far south... As an up side we did have a beautiful clear sky for today's eclipse... the second one I have seen here.. (used the same glasses as last one in 1999.. bit of a hoarder!) 1 Quote
mundia Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I saw that in the news earlier this week. Its definitely on my bucket list. Trouble is you dont always know when you'll be able to see it, and I'm not (yet) in a position to just drop everything and head north. One day one day...... Quote
