The journey back from Inadequate

Hi all

I just wanted to update you all as you were all so lovely when we got an Inadequate rating in May. We were re-inspected last week and although officially we are supposed to wait.. I can say it is GOOD news ;)

The last 5 months have been emotionally devastating, I have questioned my future in Early Years many times, I have lost all my confidence and pulled off of the BA course I was due to start in September because I have lost all faith in myself. the journey back has been hard at times with so much conflicting advice and a total lack of clarity from Ofsted, inspections are so subjective and we really are in the hands of the individual inspectors. We were lucky to get a lovely inspector who made the whole day so relaxed and was encouraging and reassuring, I can not praise her highly enough for her professionalism.

So now we push on, the changes we have made are / will be embedded and the staff are supporting the changes which is crucial to our future success and on a personal note, I will now try to rebuild some self confidence but I do want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all of you who offered support and kind words.

If there is any positive to take from this is that if I can offer anyone any moral support or 'pearls of wisdom' from all the training and LA support we have had, please please just ask, the most important thing this has taught me is that none of us can take our good or outstanding ratings forgranted, onwards and upwards from here xxx

Congratulations! I really understand the whirlwind of emotions you have been through, but please don't lose that sense of who you are. Book back on to the BA course, you certainly can do it and now you don't have the worry of the big 'O' descending on you for a while. Go for it...........................per ardua et astra!! :) Congratulations :))

Well done to you and your team Caffinefreak - onwards and upwards from here - with all the resilience that you have shown things can only get better. Time to look to the future and grab those opportunities - like Narnia says try to get back onto that BA - have a bit of time where it's all about you :1b

Congratulations to you and your team. We are due inspection and every snippet of information hits me with dread as it seems anything can trip you up, it's so unpredictable just like a first driving test!

Well done for sticking at it and reaching your positive place. x

Huge congratulations to you and your team who have obviously worked so hard to come back and get your latest judgement. I keep telling my team that we are all only one inspection away from a judgement that could take everything away from us. As I have just put in another post I cannot believe how inspections differ depending on the inspector you get. Seems really unfair.
