Steve Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Hi all - Thought you might like to see this old cached page of the FSF two months after it was born. I stumbled across it after reminiscing with a friend. Carol (online as one of our 72 members!) is still an active member today. If you see this Carol, I think that entitles you to an FSF mug at the very least! 10
Upsy Daisy Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 That was just after my second daughter was born too. She's 10 now! I'd forgotten all about Brain Gym. Do people still do it? 1
Rea Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I wondered the same about the brain gym :1b It was another year before I found you and i dont think I ever saw you in red! I'm going to have to come back to this for a good old nosey around 1
mundia Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Oh my, that was the very day I joined, if I understood correctly. A lot of life has happened since then! 3
SueFinanceManager Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Oh my, that was the very day I joined, if I understood correctly. A lot of life has happened since then! Yes you are correct Mundia, that was the day you joined the site ::1a As you say, a lot has gone on since 2003  1
Steve Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 I think Nicola Call had a new release of her 'The Thinking Child' recently, which was a Brain Gym based text I think. Haven't heard much other Brain Gym stuff recently, although you're right, it was a Big Thing back then. Strange to think that was back before EYFS and the curriculum, SEFs, learning journals and all the stuff we take for granted now, isn't it? And before all my grey hair and wrinkles of course. Don't know if correlation equals causation in this case... 2
Rea Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Yep, it was before all that stuff but is anything any different? Are children cleverer because of it all or are practitioners just more frazzled? 1
sunnyday Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 ...........I am frazzled - big time frazzled  2

Me: Oh yes, I run my own pre-school 'Her': Oh that's not really work is it  Oh and my age - in terms of membership - I'm quite the 'spring chicken' - just 5 and a bit
