Young Froglet - what a lovely time you have had - I am so pleased for you! Brilliant that your niece has picked up how to crochet - she couldn't have a better mentor! Huge congrats to your nephew. Your afternoon tea sounds wonderful.

Good morning - 'tis Friday How is everyone? Not sure that you want to hear from me today - seem to be in 'misery mode' - so sick of these heatwave conditions, I read somewhere yesterday (can't remember where) 'this summer has been more of an endurance test than a season' - yep, that is so true - I have been bitten to death, my garden is frazzled (despite my best efforts to keep everything going), Mr S is suffering...but then I look at the news reports of those poor, poor people who have lost their homes in Stourbridge, I think about all of the wildlife that will have perished in the wildfires and I think 'c'mon now, I have nothing to complain about'! High spot of my week was sitting quietly in the garden, with Mr S for the eclipse - we didn't attempt to view it but just enjoyed the change of light and watching our starlings come home to roost in neighbour's conifer trees, they obviously thought it was their bedtime... Right then, onwards and upwards I must (and will) recover my humour! Have a lovely (hopefully not quite so hot) weekend all x

Whoop! Well done young Froglet! I do hope that you and your niece have a lovely time together - I know you will... In other news - have just order 500 litres of oil - have been holding off for as long as possible hoping that the situation in Middle East might change/improve (not just for my sake onviously) 500 litres will cost me £437.43 - oh my actual goodness - that's a lot of money - hey ho could be worse!

Ah thanks - we are fine - off overnight but back on this morning - will see what happens next - we have developed a really odd approach to this, just resignation i suppose... I had my hair cut this morning, my lovely hairdresser works from her home in the village - she has had water leak outside her house for at least six weeks - when I went in I said "see you've still got your water feature then" - she replied "they have been out and given it a poke, several times, but that's as far as it goes" - beggars belief really Are your 'Kent family' having problems where they are?

Ooooh timetable you say - love that idea South east water are at it again - bottled water was delivered to every house in the village yesterday 🤦♀️honestly while they are spending money on that they could fix some of the many, many leaks here... Water was 'off' overnight but back on this morning... Hey ho - surprised that it has held out this long really!

Thought of you all this morning when i wrote myself a TDL 🤣 much needed to concentrate my mind In other news - goodness it is ridiculously hot again - telling myself 'don't complain, you will soon be saying it is too cold'! Anyway - back to the TDL😇

Good morning - 'tis Friday! How is everyone? Not much to report from here - we did counter the ludicrous offer that was made for my dear MIL's house and the buyers accepted - so they should it was a generous discount - all sorted then, or so we thought...then we received an email from our solicitor with a list of 'things' asking if we were going to 'repair/rectify' before sale - that was easy 'no' hence the price reduction...not sure where we are now, s'pose I will need to start 'making some noise' soon in an attempt to move things along (deep sigh) we really, really want the house 'gone' before winter and hope against hope that we don't need to relist... Ah well - First World problems really. The 'holidaymakers' are due to return on Sunday and will collect their dear little dog from us then - she has been a very, very good girl! Hope the weekend is kind to all x

Argghhh - mobile 'phones work of the devil if you ask me! 🤣 I had a new one a few weeks ago - i held out for as long as possible, but my old one get turning itself off and restarting mid conversation - Mr S said "one day that will be an emergency situation" - he was right so I caved!!!

Good morning - 'tis Friday Funny old week here - busy which is fine but disappointing news on the house sale, we received a ridiculous offer from the buyer following survey - hmmm - we have countered and we shall see what happens next. Dear little granddog is behaving beautifully (so far!) which is just lovely. We have Sunday lunch plans with youngest son and DIL which is something to look forward to over the weekend. Hope everyone is okay and now enjoying the summer break... Take care all x

Good morning - 'tis Friday Congrats louby on making it through another school year - happy hols now!!! Thank goodness the heat has lessened here - long may it last (please) Another busy week for me and next week looks much the same... I have a granddog arriving later today - she will be with us for two weeks - she's a real sweetie and we are happy to have her 🐶🧡 My plans for the weekend will revolve around my garden - I have some serious cutting back to do - that's all good, I will be very happy in my madness! Hope the weekend is good for all x

My granddaughter's performance was just brilliant, she did so well with some solo singing and lots of lines... This was an opportunity for grandparents to watch so I was there with her maternal granny she is such a lovely lady and I am very lucky to share my littlest grandchildren with her...🧡 I have been reflecting on our different responses - her just quietly clapping - me clapping like my life depends on it accompanied by an awful lot of whooping!!! Wonder which approach my granddaughter prefers - don't think I will ask just in case! 🤣🤣🤣

Good morning - 'tis Friday Whoa - this heat is just ridiculous - enough already! Off to see youngest granddaughter's end of year performance this afternoon - can't believe that she is about to leave Primary school, no idea how that happened... Have had a 'zillion' questions from solicitor re sale of MIL's house - I am forever grateful that when we met her she said "if you don't know an answer, don't get into a tizz, just say you don't know" - phew! Tennis: c'mon Fery! Football: c'mon England! Hope everyone is okay and that no one has melted (looking at you Sue!) Happy weekend all x

Good morning - 'tis Friday (again!) How is everyone? Young Froglet hope you are okay after your fall? Much, much better week for Mr S - once that relentless heat subsided he was fine (well as fine as he will ever be!) - so no more 'caring fairy' duties for me (until the next time!) Have had a pretty busy week and next week will be even busier (how did I ever find time to work?!) Looking forward to (hopefully) a quiet weekend. Very much enjoying the Tennis and the Football - although the footie is not good for my Blood Pressure 🤣 Hope that the weekend is kind to all x

Who had the storms last night - my goodness it was all very dramatic! Lunch date is going ahead - it is so difficult to find a date that we can all make so another reason that I was reluctant to reschedule - it's a bit cooler (so far) so hopefully be okay (fingers crossed). Mr S seems (touch wood) a bit better today so he can manage without his 'caring fairy' for a couple of hours... Have a lovely all x
