zigzag Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I know there is a huge post about this but I needed this to be fresh and answered as soon as possible. I have opened the document but when I get down to section E it finishes. The last question I can read is about the no images person comp!eting the sef or not after that it stops. Is this right? I was expecting loads more questions. Please help, I need to know if it's my computer messing it up or not. Quote
zigzag Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Ok. Hands up I should have read the guidance letter first!! There is only the five sections after all. I think I had exaggerated in my head that it was going to be a huge document. Sorry and ignore me!! 5 Quote
sunnyday Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Sorry and ignore me!! We will never ignore you - how rude would that be! ::1a 4 Quote
zigzag Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Ha, ha, I was a bit puzzled about what all the fuss was about, I realised when it was returned to me today saying it was incomplete!! The blooming thing had not fully opened on my computer so had not actually even filled out half of it!!! What a dumb waste of time, I have only just redone new EY2s for all the committee with exactly the same information. Quote
Rea Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Yes, but if we didnt send things in more than once, how would they be able to lose things in twice or even thrice?  3 Quote
lsp Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I received a written reminder today. Problem is ........ the nominated person has to fill it in but I can't be the nominated person because I am not, and refuse to be, on the committee. So I assume that I email them, as the nominated person, to inform them of details of new nominated person which means that someone else has to fill the form in??? Yay - buck well and truly passed!!!!! 2 Quote
lynned55 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 ISP, that has made laugh out loud!! I am in exactly the same position as you!! Quote

Mouseketeer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Rafa...seems a bit strange emailing on a Sunday with no hint as to what they want me to contact them for ...its from the ARC day care and health team  Quote
sunnyday Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Should be a law against emailing on a Sunday - well for Ofsted anyway Hope it's nothing to worry about..... 3 Quote
eyfs1966 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Yiks I've had an email today (yes Sunday when you can do nothing about it) asking me to contact them at my earliest convenience ? Do you thinkn they have finally sussed that you are not a committee member...not that you ever said you were? I await to hear what they want you for.....please update when you have contacted them! 1 Quote
eyfs1966 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Just a thought, but perhaps your earliest convenience might not be that convenient for Ofsted....if they have the audacity to email you on a Sunday, perhaps you should try contacting them at an equally inappropriate time! 2 Quote
Rafa Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Thanks Rafa...seems a bit strange emailing on a Sunday with no hint as to what they want me to contact them for ...its from the ARC day care and health team  Ahhh well then..................NEVER heard of them!! 1 Quote
Mouseketeer Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Nor me but it is the normal ofsted number and I googled and they are a part of ofsted. Quote

eyfs1966 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Ok, Ive bitten the bullet and submitted my "registration details" form to Ofsted, I can only hope they have a huge pile to dig through before they look at mine! 2 Quote

Yes they pulled me up on that too mine wasn't dueto be updated until August but Ofsted obviously like it changed straight away! 1 Quote
finleysmaid Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ive had a reply! basically I must be on the board or the chair must take over nominated role. It's not too much of a problem (just another job to do paperwork for money laundering) what gets my goat is the fact that they can change these things at a moments notice and not have to tell anyone...until they send us out some random email sending the fear of *** in to us Does anyone Know if headteachers have to be named on the board of governors ? finleysmaid Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Oh ****, how long did it take from submission of the form for them to get back to you? just over a week (amazing how quick they can be when it's for their benefit! Quote

Mouseketeer Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I just wonder what will happen at my next inspection and I'm not really on the list of committee members they reel off ... we will wait to hear what the outcome is eyfs1966 :-/ 1 Quote
lynned55 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Oh little mousie, be careful as it could end up an RI or worse. You know what they're like. 1 Quote
Mouseketeer Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 You could well be right, I checked my associates list on the sef self service a I appear on it twice now, with nominated person against one of them. Quote
eyfs1966 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Oh little mousie, be careful as it could end up an RI or worse. You know what they're like. That said, they will presumably check to the list you have just submitted, therefore all should be ok 1 Quote
JJA Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Well I've submitted the form to them three times now and still they request it! Are you all just sending it back via return email? Quote
