narnia Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 So, have got the report. have read the reoprt. Have appealed. Shame is, in most ways, it's glowing............. 1 Quote
zigzag Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 oh narnia, I hope your appeal works. Sending you a big hug. 1 Quote
Cait Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm sure you are right to appeal. If there's anything you need, just shout. 2 Quote
narnia Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Thank you ladies. I am fighting, but don't really hold out too much hope.........................so, out with all the paperwork, and start again, preparing for another inspection Quote
SueJ Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Good luck with the appeal - big hug from me too x Quote
finleysmaid Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 the thing is Narnia either way you will be re-inspected. If your appeal is upheld they will make your report null and void and come out again but for your own sake you needed to appeal. Chin up ...time to get even! 3 Quote
Guest Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 all the best - it's devastating when this happens but you've fought and won tougher things - go get 'em! Quote
Guest Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Good luck Narnia keep strong, stay focused and don't be too hasty with all the paperwork. To all intents and purpose you have a good Ofsted apart from the inspectors viewpoint in one area don't make extra work for yourself concentrate on that, then see which area needs changing as a knock on effect of this .finleysmaid makes a good point , I'm sure you feel better by being pro-active show them how its done. xxx Quote
HappyMaz Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Oh narnia - good luck with your appeal. You are an outstanding practitioner with an outstanding group, no matter what might have happened on inspection day and how it was interpreted by your inspector. I'm sure this will shine through in your re-inspection and I hope that you'll be able to put this all behind you in time. More virtual hugs coming your way. xx 2 Quote
Cait Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I wonder if you get a different inspector the next time? Deep breaths, you have a good month or so before they come back out to you. Don't let it spoil your break, once you have the policy written how they want it, that's it. You know your practice is fantastic, you have a great team, you have robust systems for everything, and a fresh focus on visitors. Chin up big smile and go for it. You have a great report that shows what they like and want to see again, and you know you can do that! 1 Quote
narnia Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Yes, a new inspector, so that, as the last one put it............'you get a fresh pair of eyes on things' 1 Quote
finleysmaid Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 due to circumstances we were inspected 3 times in a year...if i can do it anyone can! top tip for appealing ...keep going back to the inspectors standards and checking they have done what they say...and keep quoting from ofsteds own documents (and the dfe) ...they can't argue with their own rules! 2 Quote
narnia Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 Ok, question: they say we will have a monitoring visit prior to re-inspection. How soon does all this happen?? Will they be really picky with every little detail this time? How soon do they have to deal with my complaint? Sure there's more I want to know....................... Quote
