  1. My thoughts this morning........'sod this for a game of soldiers' I am considering pushing my start date to 18th January in line with the Primary school However, I may change my mind later 🤷‍♀️ headcount week here is from 18th.....
  2. Doh! Of course, think we should have known that between us! 🤦‍♀️
  3. Very good point - doesn't apply to my setting (we are 'mature' to say the least) but, yes it will impact some settings I'm sure
  4. No we didn't either, we followed the rules to the letter - bet there were plenty who didn't though
  5. So what are you thinking louby? Are you due to open on Monday?
  6. I bought myself some time before Christmas I told my parents that we would not be returning until 11th January (this was before we went into Tier 4, I wanted to put some space between Christmas relaxation of rules and first day back)
  7. Not compulsory for children to attend - but compulsory for me to open...... I just cannot believe that the Government thinks this is okay/desirable
  8. Early Years Early years settings (including nurseries and childminders) should continue to allow all children/pupils to attend as normal. School-based nurseries in primary schools have discretion to follow arrangements for the primary school. Attendance expectations: Early years Attendance at early years and childcare settings is not compulsory. Copy and paste job - my little black and white furry friend
  9. Exactly
  10. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/948580/Contingency_framework_implementation_guidance.pdf What the actual heck - our Primary school will be closed but I will be expected to open - why would they do that to us
  11. Still tier 4 - can't see that changing for the foreseeable
  12. His whole delivery makes me angry and I really don't do angry
  13. Oh my actual goodness Watching Gavin (Frank Spencer) Williamson - still have no idea - nothing on Gov.uk yet......
  14. Oh not good - think I would rather be 'stuck in the bathroom'
  15. Phew! When you hadn't reappeared I was worried that you were stuck in your bathroom! 🤣
  16. I have this film recorded - must make time (in my busy schedule - not!) to watch it
  17. That's really good, except...….you do know that liquorice has a laxative effect 🤣
  18. Oh my life zigzag - hope all is okay - do please let us know xxx
  19. Oh no (to the headaches) are you drinking enough, getting some fresh air daily? Good plan re calling it a day with the TDL
  20. We really are the poor relations We really are the 'poor relations' it bugs the life out of me too I think giving staff the option is the way to go Mousie I can't imagine working in a mask myself though...... We need some sort of announcement pdq - this deafening silence is so stressful not just for us but for parents too
  21. I still stand by my earlier assertion that we won't be going back next week (I might be wrong!) particularly those of us in Tier 4 - hospitals are already in 'trouble'..... I think the Education Committee are due to meet today I did see Michael Gove being interviewed this morning - he was keeping the party line 'yes, schools will be open as planned' If we are not going back GCSE and A levels need to be cancelled NOW
  22. It is all such a worry My DIL's BIL (gosh that's a bit my aunties neighbours cousin!) had no symptoms whatsoever he was given a test because of his work situation - he could have been spreading it far and wide On a more positive note - my DIL has received a negative result - phew!
  23. Oh yes of course you may - but straight back into it after lunch please 🤣
  24. Excellent! Now just a little reminder - you must do some school work tomorrow!
  25. Hope everybody had a nice day yesterday? Quick update on the Covid tests - son and the two girls were negative, DIL 'inconclusive' so she has had another one this morning
