Today to be honest I have spent most of the day in a car en route home from Northumberland - half of it in a recovery truck as we broke down! Luckily most of my celebrating was done yesterday - out for a cosy meal. My sister-in-law baked a cake which my nieces decorated in truly memorable style (I was instructed not to look but they were doing it at the table in front of me!). My 10 year old niece had made me her own special present - a beautiful (and enormously long) finger knitted scarf.
