1/2 a kitchen paper roll....circle of silicone/thick greaseproof paper pulled tight across one end and attached with a tight rubber band. small hole punched in side of roll (about 2" from top...but not important to measure)

We designed a cover for them and stuck it round the outside.

The tricky bit is trying to play it ...you need to have a practise...don't try to blow more like singing with an open mouth???do this down the open end!!! we actually did it for a SALT exercise and also for the making music/rhythm part of the eyfs

WARNING...your staff may throttle you! :o ::1a

Thank-you :lol: :lol: :lol: Staff will cope- we have in-house competitions for this kind of thing! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I had to 'google'. Although now I know what you're talking about I do remember making use of it when I was at primary school - in our outside, spidery toilets!

Describes perfectly many of the toilets from back in the 50's and 60's! I thought we were dead posh when we had an extension built with a bathroom, previously it was an outside loo and the bath was in the kitchen!!!! When not in use this had a worktop placed over the top of it.

Panders, you have just taken me back to Sunday night bath night (whether you needed it or not!) And hair wash ready for school on Monday. Oh they just don't know they're born nowadays! ! How on earth did we even get into those baths????

Two Way Family Favourites - and as you say the smell of the Sunday roast. Back there right now. Jean Metcalf and Cliff Michelmore (such a lovely man, shame he has died). Remember mum saying they were a bit "flirty".

Imagine with all of today's technology the kids don't know what they're missing!

I'm sure you lived at our house Sunnyday! I used to love the bit at the end of The Palladium with the revolving stage, and can clearly remember seeing the B&W Minstrels for the first time in colour at Stella's house. Her dad had his own business, named after her - they had pots of money and the first colour t.v. out of any of our friends.
