sunnyday Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 So - my question is - do you have one? I am not 'eligible' for a freebie - so have in the past paid for one as I thought it was worth it as a precautionary measure - last year I just didn't get round to it - and luckily, I was fine :1b Really not sure whether or not to go for one this year...... hali Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I always have one - had flu twice in my life and seriously do not want it again 1 Quote
Stargrower Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Never had one. I am disgustingly healthy...but probably shouldn't tempt fate by saying that! 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Thanks for your replies - I have just had it done! I had a hairdressers appointment and then thought 'may as well go to the pharmacy and get it done'! :1b At least I can add it to my 'list of things achieved' this half-term! 3 Quote
Panders Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Never had one Sunnyday, however, last Crimbo very poorly - could have been 'flu'. I have been taking Vit C and Zinc this term and I am hoping that may ward off any nasties. 3 Quote
Froglet Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I've never had one and normally never get poorly at all. However, this last term I had a cough/cold which seemed to last for about 6 weeks - every time I thought I was better it came back again. I was wheezy and sneezy every day and had a couple of proper asthma attacks so I'm thinking a flu jab might be a good idea! 2 Quote
zigzag Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I think working in a pre-school we should be vaccinated against everything!! My poor hands are so dry and wrinkly from so much hand washing at the end of last term (bug doing the rounds) I have never had the flu jab but would say it is probably a good idea if you can have it. 1 Quote
Inge Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Have had it for years now, working with children it is so easy for them to pass on all those lovely bugs and if I could help reduce just one of them I took the opportunity. At most it cost me a tenner - not much to pay really, and now I notice our local pharmacy offering it for half that- and one even free.. I do get mine free at drs surgery but would continue to pay if not.. with an asthmatic husband it is better for us both to be , don't want him getting it.. Edited October 30, 2015 by Inge 1 Quote

narnia Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 No, even though I can have it free..............not for me 1 Quote
Conker Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Yes I had mine the other day, just have a sore arm now! Thought I was just a bit achy and under the weather with having the flue jab..... Turned out the cat bite I had on my thumb ( don't ask and no she still hasn't had her worming tablet) needed antibiotics to clear it up... 2 Quote
