eyfs1966 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Those of you who subscribe to the foundations 4 children site will have been posted a link to a new resource for parents about learning and development in the EYFS. I think at first glance it looks rather good. If you haven't yet seen it, you can click on the link below: http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/2015/03/what-to-expect-when-a-parents-guide/ 3

mundia Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I believe that hard copies will be available at £2.99, with a small reduction for bulk orders.
Guest Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I was lucky enough to be at the 4Children conference yesterday when it was launched. It does look good as it is in parent-friendly speak and set out by age band. It also includes ideas for parents of activities they can do at home to support their child - . I am thinking it could be a useful tool to help with on-entry assessment by going through the appropriate age pages with the parents to support 2 way discussion.
Mouseketeer Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) I like this, I include the foundationYears.org website link in our prospectus so will flag this publication Edited March 11, 2015 by Mouseketeer
sunnyday Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I believe that hard copies will be available at £2.99, with a small reduction for bulk orders. That's good to hear - I had downloaded and thought about printing but then thought again - would be quite ink 'heavy'
Panders Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 That's good to hear - I had downloaded and thought about printing but then thought again - would be quite ink 'hea I thought that Sunnyday, I have ordered one copy to use when interviewing with parents, but may print off some sections that we would find handy rather than all of it. 1
Rob6692 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I was looking at this earlier and it looks quite useful for parents. I too will be sharing it on social medias. I'll probably continue to use the EYFS myself, but What to expect, when? looks a bit more parent/carer friendly
