3D Cell Printing Technology - what my son is doing!

If you would all be so kind, could you take a second to look here?

http://www.topbritishinnovations.org/FutureInnovations.aspx

My son has designed the 3D cell printer which is using stem cells, transformed from fat cells, which can be printed into particular patterns to test drugs on, and eventually will be able to print specific cells like kidney or liver which can be transplanted and not rejected as the cells are the patients' own.

Please vote for his work, voting ends today

just had a quick look, what some amazing innovations, all worthy of a vote but, since you asked, I voted for your son's work

Got my vote too. I see he is currently in third place so here's hoping a few more votes will make the difference

Ooh absolutely! tell everyone you know!!

Thanks Panders, he's been to Japan and Netherlands with it and he spoke at a big symposium in Manchester this year. It's my little baby, doing big stuff, and he's only 24! It's mind-blowing!

Thank you everyone, he ended up fourth. Shame I didn't know about it earlier or we could have spread a bit wider! He keeps things close to his chest!

I've only just read this thread so I didn't vote, hope he didn't need one vote ;) fourth is good, what a brilliant mind :)

Spoke to him last night and he says his screen showed him as third, he was happy with whatever, anyway. He only found out himself that he'd been nominated about 10 days go. Beating the Higgs Boson is pretty incredible!
