sunnyday Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I need to try and work out how many hours I worked throughout the summer 'break'........ Did any one (far more sensible than me  ) actually log the hours that they worked? Quote
sunnyday Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 no as wouldnt get paid anyway! Fair comment! Quote
diesel10 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I worked for the week after we finished and claimed and then for the few days before we went back. If there is money in the bank you should be paid. Quote

Cait Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I'm afraid I just worked the 5.8 weeks of allocated holiday entitlement. I have actually claimed a nominal 10 hours overtime - which was spent on my own painting the porches and a wall at Preschool. Had other staff come and helped, I would have paid them overtime, but they didn't, so I claimed it myself! I'm about ready for that 5.8 weeks off, actually!! 2 Quote
Panders Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 That's a tricky one Sunnyday. I put off getting down to it for 3 weeks at least, then feeling guilty began by getting stuff ready in reverse - i.e., very familiar things I would need for the return to work rather than up-dating EYFS stuff, so I reckon in the end I must have worked for 2/3 weeks over the summer break, less some coffee breaks, lunch, staring out of the window, looking blankly at the computer screen, coming on here, babysitting, in the grand scheme of things I've never tallied up the number of hours I spend outside of the 19.50hrs I work at pre-school. I might just start right now! 2 Quote
fimbo Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 well i had 1 week off during the summer hols, apart from that i worked the entire holiday without any pay at all !! we have been going through a 'managment transition'...and have been working our socks off to increase children numbers and profitability -or we would of closed. Thankfully we are now up to capacity for every session -and may need to increase staff hours if we get any more bookings, but we are all totally worn out already !! October half term will not be too soon coming around.....and i will NOT be doing a blooming thing lol !!! Quote
SueJ Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Worked pretty much right through the summer break - sorry I mean summer holiday - sorry I mean non-trading home based work weeks - didn't log anything as no point trying to pay myself money I haven't got - honestly Sunnyday what are you trying to do depress yourself  2 Quote
