Just wanted to share with you our experience with Mrs O this morning! A very pleasant lady who was friendly and understanding to both staff and children. A positive morning and a happy outcome after 3.5years hard work since our last inspection. I'm a very proud manager today!

Include us too, as we were inspected on Friday, almost 4 years to the day.

A lovely lady and everyone agreed a most positive experience. :o

Fantastic! I look forward to all the details.... but probably not as much as you're looking forward to a few years Ofsted free!?

Us too, last Tuesday , about 4 1/4 years after last one. Again a good experience, really nice lady and a happy outcome.

Our area have also been told that if you have not had an inspection on EYFS yet then you WILL get one before the new one comes in next September.

Our inspector was interested in Safeguarding, staff development, ICT, working with parents, Phonics work, and based nearly everything around our SEF. Definately worth the effort of doing one.

To any nurseries who have had OFSTED in the past few months - could you let us know what they were mainly looking for? (Especially in the Yorks/Humber area)

Although we are based in Surrey, Mrs O was most interested in: safeguarding, staff training & development, working with parents, focused improvement plans and photographic evidence of past activities and celebrations.

She said her main priority, after the above checks, was to track two children throughout the morning to see what the pre-school experience was like for them!

We also got praise for an informative SEF, even though it hadn't been updated since i first set it up in April 2010!!!

We were done is July and our inspector was very interested in how we plan for individual children. She asked for two files one for a new child and one for a child who has been with us a while, she then asked me to explain the process of our planning and how the selected children had been planned for and looked for the evidentce that they had beem moved on since starting!.

Safeguarding was also something she spoke to staff members about along with file sharing! she wanted eveidence of when a child attends 2 settings how do we share information between the tewo settings..

Ours was a lovely lady and actually played with the children.
