Well it's good to actually be awake today. It's been 10 days now since my first dose of chemo and until yesterday I've pretty much slept all the time.

Today was the one appointment with any fun to it. I've been to see the 'wig lady' I've got one with no grey in it! feels fantastic.

Thanks everyone for all your good wishes

Al

I'm sure the sleeping is natures way of doing what your body needs. You sound positive which is great!! xD I can just picture you at a wig trying session and totally agree non-grey was the way to go.

Dolly Parton was on Saturday afternoon and when asked "how long does your hair take to do?" She replied "I don't know I'm not there" :o

Lovely to hear you so chipper, Al - as my friends have said so eloquently, sleep is probably what your body needs right now. I'm glad you enjoyed your session with the 'wig lady' - nice to be in control of something, I imagine. I'm sure you'll look ab fab!

Take care

Agreed, lovely to hear you sounding brighter....although obviously we can't hear you...but can interpret your positive language...I would be terrible choosing a wig, I think I would have to go for an outrageous look! :oxD

Me too, could I become a blonde I wonder, or what about purple, definitely not blue as it could be mistaken for a 'rinse'?

Seriously though, it is good to hear from you Whitetree and to keep up with how you are doing. How frequently do you have to go for your chemo?

good to hear you're doing so well. Do what your body says and rest all you can.........make sure you drink plenty!! I have my wig, didn't wear it ever, as i preferred the 'pirate and bandana' look! If you'd like it ( it's longish, sort of brown with a bit of chestnut through it) let me know!

Big hugs to you and I hope you continue to feel a little better with each day. My step mum used to sleep for days after her chemo too, then have a few days feeling normal then have the next lot and go back into hibernation as it were. The way the weather is at the moment snuggling down and resting is probably the best place for you to be.

Jolly, a wig.....what would I have, I am a mousy brown with blonde highlights....and a few grey ones.....would I gold bold....oh I don't know. I hope whichever one you chose you like it Al and that it makes you feel more like you.
