  1. Sorry to post a ‘work related’ (shudder) request, but a friend of mine has changed her registration from childminder to childcare on domestic premises and has asked me “Do you have any access to a good parent contract / enrolment form that parents sign. I’m sick of buying them and I think under my new registration it’s slightly different.” please has anyone got anything that she could adapt? I’m not sure if my old one would still stand up to current regulations
  2. Sounds perfect!
  3. We had Zebedee back in hospital on Friday and yesterday to top up his phosphate and blood supply. I wish we knew where it all kept going! He’s home again now, and still weary but nothing like last week, thankfully.
  4. I’ve one with the squares edged in black that my Nan made, and another edged in white that Nana made, safely in the loft, but I think I might wash and air them through and have a good look at them. This one is for St Catherine’s hospice to do with as they wish, keep or raffle.
  5. That was this one
  6. It’s a right old mixture of mini balls of DK cotton that’s just taking up space, so it’s filling my evenings and hospital visits with Zebedee. I can do one in half an hour so not too taxing. Nothing like the blanket I made for my daughter’s wedding with fine cotton that took well over an hour just to do a side at the largest point.
  7. They are fabulous! Well done you! I’m currently making granny squares for a blanket. X
  8. Well done you! How fabulous. I love singing! I can still hear my Dad lean down to whisper in church, whilst we were singing “Thine be the glory” - ‘if you aren’t feeling light-headed yet, you’re not doing it right’ and I bent to tell my daughter the same at his funeral.
  9. Yes! Both on timing - another half an hour could make all the difference but maybe not such traumatic tv? and yes also about the finished products not being as crisp as recent years - and also things they pick out in their assessments are glossed over when they’re doing their recap!
  10. Well I thought it was just me, I’m glad it’s not. I wonder if it’s the presenter chappie who seems to be making it a bit of a joke. Plus it doesn’t seem to have the depth of ability we’ve had in the past. Maybe just me and the way things are at the mo 🤷‍♀️
  11. I’m with you on this!
  12. Oh I found myself watching a Christmas film the other day too! Seems very bizarre
  13. Yes, absolutely! And also some lovely comments for parents to treasure forever
  14. Gorgeous!! I hope she loves them!
  15. Think we might need it here too. Already regretting moving my winter vests to the spare room 🤣😩🥶
  16. Here we are at long bloomin last!!
  17. Ooh that sounds good. Still waiting here for my husband’s ‘urgent’ phosphate infusion, ordered on 24th April. Sigh. but the sun is shining again after a lot of rain - the grass is laughing at me - I can hear it growing
  18. Oh how funny! It would be interesting to follow that up! An exhausting day yesterday, on top of the usual baking for Monday coffee mornings, (carrot cake, fruit and plain scones) I had all the lawns to mow and the privet hedge to cut (which, like a sensible woman, I did first, so the mower picked it all up) it was really warm here so I was pooped! Still, it got me 6,560 steps, so worth it!
  19. Yummy!
  20. Haha, you know it! 🤣🤣🤭
  21. Thanks all. We had a very low key day as Zebedee really wasn’t up to anything. A visit from our daughter and daughter in law absolutely wore him out. Still waiting to hear about his next phosphate infusion which was deemed urgent when the GP requested it on 24th April! 😩😩😢
  22. Strangely it’s a bit odd for me. I was at the funeral of a good friend last Friday, and it feels like a month has passed since then, not just a week. Isn’t our perception of time bizarre?
  23. Oh that’s such wonderful news! Such a huge relief for you. Xxxx
  24. No rain here! Been a lovely day 😎😎🤭🤭
  25. Yes you’re right. She still flinches if we put our hand over her head to stroke her. As regards insurance, we decided that the quote was too expensive, so we put that amount in an ISA every month, so it’s there if we need it, and we aren’t just giving it away.
