  1. I preferred this one, but there’s loads of different ones out there! Marriner yarns (where I got the yarn from as it’s sensibly priced and reasonable quality) have free patterns for knit and crochet poppies too.
  2. We did it a few years ago. It was fabulous and looked incredible. Unfortunately, someone threw them all in the dustbin when they were taken down - well over 2500 poppies. I was devastated when I found out. Never found out if it was accidental or deliberate.
  3. If you click on ‘menu’, it should offer you ‘forum.’ what device are you using? I’m on iPad and it says ‘forum’ in the too banner that has my name on it.
  4. I had “PLEASE SHUT THE GATE (your child’s life might depend on it)” on the door as they went out.
  5. Well……. That would be saying. I recognise that. 🤭😳😂😁 Here’s my original staff suitability declaration.docx
  6. Well……. That would be saying. I recognise that. 🤭😳😂😁
  7. Fabulous news. I look forward to reading more about it!
  8. True dat
  9. That’s really sad. I can remember that feeling only too well. 😢. Look after yourself, my friend, and know that we are all here for your rants, as you all were for mine - except I had to be circumspect as one of my staff was also on here! 😳😳
  10. I just heard that his mum has died.
  11. We have to get the foundations right, so that the rest can be built on top of it. To inspire a child’s hunger for learning is where I believe we all hold our reason for doing what we do. If that isn’t put in place, then what follows is not going to be as strong.
  12. Yikes. Sending healthy vibes your way. Have you take LF tests yourselves this morning?
  13. She won! Absolutely amazing! She seems to have come from nowhere!
  14. I guess for us it helped that preschool had its own phone so all our contacts came on that or through the preschool email address. So when I left, I just handed the phone over. In the early days it was my own email address, and I STILL get the odd email even now!
  15. I got that email too! I retired in 2015 and still get the odd thing, mainly about training.
  16. these are great fun for little scraps and odd zips too. I’ve made loads of these - ideal for a face mask and dog poo bags and treats attached to leads.
  17. They look fabulous. Thinking ‘C’ fabric (phew, nearly said it!) for the stall.
  18. Yep, although we’ve moved a bit nearer since that only visit, it remains the only time I’ve been. Our nearest is the far side of Leeds, well over an hour and a half away.
  19. Can’t you lift them slightly to dry over tables or something if need be? As Sunnyday says, they don’t seem to get that wet.
  20. I got one for home and preschool after paying a firm to do the preschool carpets one year. The vax was the same price as the job had been so it paid for itself very quickly! It was great to use after ‘accidents’ and so it never made it back to our house.
  21. That’s absolutely fabulous!
  22. I’m with you on this! One I saw the other day there was a girl whose budget was 3-5,000 and she bought a dress that was 15,000!! How can they justify spending that amount on a dress just for one day! Our first home cost less than that! her Dad just said, “well she’s my baby and if it makes her happy ….”
  23. Here the final choice for our new daughter-in-law! They went to a place a bit like a build a bear workshop where you start with a basic dress and build on what you like, so this is just pinned and placed, but roughly how it’s going to be. The stars are made from iridescent sequins.
  24. How’s Mr S now? All settled down again?
  25. She’s going for something starry. They’ve decided their theme is Stars and Rainbows.
