  1. Yes! Both on timing - another half an hour could make all the difference but maybe not such traumatic tv? and yes also about the finished products not being as crisp as recent years - and also things they pick out in their assessments are glossed over when they’re doing their recap!
  2. Well I thought it was just me, I’m glad it’s not. I wonder if it’s the presenter chappie who seems to be making it a bit of a joke. Plus it doesn’t seem to have the depth of ability we’ve had in the past. Maybe just me and the way things are at the mo 🤷‍♀️
  3. I’m with you on this!
  4. Oh I found myself watching a Christmas film the other day too! Seems very bizarre
  5. Yes, absolutely! And also some lovely comments for parents to treasure forever
  6. Gorgeous!! I hope she loves them!
  7. Think we might need it here too. Already regretting moving my winter vests to the spare room 🤣😩🥶
  8. Here we are at long bloomin last!!
  9. Ooh that sounds good. Still waiting here for my husband’s ‘urgent’ phosphate infusion, ordered on 24th April. Sigh. but the sun is shining again after a lot of rain - the grass is laughing at me - I can hear it growing
  10. Oh how funny! It would be interesting to follow that up! An exhausting day yesterday, on top of the usual baking for Monday coffee mornings, (carrot cake, fruit and plain scones) I had all the lawns to mow and the privet hedge to cut (which, like a sensible woman, I did first, so the mower picked it all up) it was really warm here so I was pooped! Still, it got me 6,560 steps, so worth it!
  11. Yummy!
  12. Haha, you know it! 🤣🤣🤭
  13. Thanks all. We had a very low key day as Zebedee really wasn’t up to anything. A visit from our daughter and daughter in law absolutely wore him out. Still waiting to hear about his next phosphate infusion which was deemed urgent when the GP requested it on 24th April! 😩😩😢
  14. Strangely it’s a bit odd for me. I was at the funeral of a good friend last Friday, and it feels like a month has passed since then, not just a week. Isn’t our perception of time bizarre?
  15. Oh that’s such wonderful news! Such a huge relief for you. Xxxx
  16. No rain here! Been a lovely day 😎😎🤭🤭
  17. Yes you’re right. She still flinches if we put our hand over her head to stroke her. As regards insurance, we decided that the quote was too expensive, so we put that amount in an ISA every month, so it’s there if we need it, and we aren’t just giving it away.
  18. You do have to be careful, yes.
  19. Our little rescue was 8 when we got her and she’s just celebrated her 13th. We never suspected she would live this long from the state she was in when we got her as an ex- breeding dog. If/when she’s ever replaced, I’d go for another rescue as there’s so many lovely dogs out there who need love. She’s got a lot of life in her yet, doesn’t bark - obviously learned early on that there was no point in it. She doesn’t know what toys are, and doesn’t ‘do’ walks - it was a long time before she ventured onto the grass, as she’d only ever lived in a crate. She will walk for miles on the beach if we go out, but won’t walk away from the house to start a walk. They are very tying though. You can’t really be away from the house for any length of time. When Zebedee goes in for his blood transfusions, we rely on someone letting her out for a wee, as we can be 6 hours or more. She knew he had cancer before we did though. She suddenly started sitting velcroed to his leg on the sofa, whereas she had previously not had anything to do with him at all, and was very much ‘my’ dog. Looking back, we both remarked on it. So if she ever starts to choose to sit with me ……….😳😳
  20. My oak tree is greening suddenly!
  21. A small purse?
  22. I love it! Did you double back on starting chain for the handle? Was it the centre white?
  23. The view from my kitchen window this morning is very ‘Ukraine’
  24. I’m glad they caught it early. My husband hasn’t been so lucky as he started with it at the start of lockdown and didn’t get to see a GP until too late. It’s 3 years this week since his diagnosis.
  25. Yes, I thought that this morning. Still can’t quite believe it 😢
