  1. You do have to be careful, yes.
  2. Our little rescue was 8 when we got her and she’s just celebrated her 13th. We never suspected she would live this long from the state she was in when we got her as an ex- breeding dog. If/when she’s ever replaced, I’d go for another rescue as there’s so many lovely dogs out there who need love. She’s got a lot of life in her yet, doesn’t bark - obviously learned early on that there was no point in it. She doesn’t know what toys are, and doesn’t ‘do’ walks - it was a long time before she ventured onto the grass, as she’d only ever lived in a crate. She will walk for miles on the beach if we go out, but won’t walk away from the house to start a walk. They are very tying though. You can’t really be away from the house for any length of time. When Zebedee goes in for his blood transfusions, we rely on someone letting her out for a wee, as we can be 6 hours or more. She knew he had cancer before we did though. She suddenly started sitting velcroed to his leg on the sofa, whereas she had previously not had anything to do with him at all, and was very much ‘my’ dog. Looking back, we both remarked on it. So if she ever starts to choose to sit with me ……….😳😳
  3. My oak tree is greening suddenly!
  4. A small purse?
  5. I love it! Did you double back on starting chain for the handle? Was it the centre white?
  6. The view from my kitchen window this morning is very ‘Ukraine’
  7. I’m glad they caught it early. My husband hasn’t been so lucky as he started with it at the start of lockdown and didn’t get to see a GP until too late. It’s 3 years this week since his diagnosis.
  8. Yes, I thought that this morning. Still can’t quite believe it 😢
  9. This was an actual scarf done in stripes by temperature. But yes - all those ends!!! 😩😩
  10. Thank you for those! Beautiful.
  11. My sister in law is. I was trying to explain it to her. Picture would be lovely thanks and if you’ve got your ‘code’ it would be really helpful too. X
  12. I’ve read through this thread today looking for something. I’m sure someone on here made a weather scarf or weather blanket using colours of yarn to replicate the temperature/weather each day of the year. Does anyone remember? Have I dreamed it - it wouldn’t surprise me 🤣🤣🤭
  13. There’s a village in West Cumbria called ‘Prospect’. Which bit did you decorate? 🤣🤣
  14. Wowsers! What an achievement, and how much has your baby evolved over the years!!!!
  15. It really is a bit wild out there!
  16. I hope you made good use of your buttermilk!
  17. Has anyone read ‘the salt path’? Recently recommended
  18. You should be able to find lots of good information from https://www.eyalliance.org.uk They have a lot of really good booklets etc and are always good for answering questions. I was manager of a committee run preschool, with various different committee chairs over the years, not all of whom were ‘active in their role’ shall we say. Good luck, and do come and ask on here if you’ve any queries.
  19. Sunnyday’s lovely village group did wreath making this morning, instead of knitting, and look what they made for her! Isn’t it beautiful. 🥰🥰🥰
  20. Fantastic news. Will keep you both in my thoughts xx
  21. So, so exciting! Something to brighten the dark winter months! Have you got your knitting needles out?
  22. Hi, sorry you’ve been waiting such a long time for a reply. There surely must be somebody on here from NI. Do you still have to answer to Ofsted? If you do, I’d suggest that they could be your best option if your Local Authority isn’t providing you with answers. I suspect that tacking an additional hour on would be seen as 3 hours provision if the same children attended both. sorry I can’t be more helpful.
  23. Depends on your price point, I suppose. Have you looked at Studio24?
  24. Fair enough! Jane Eyre is my go to read. Did it for O level and it’s actually the school stamped book that I own as they were chucking them out after our year as they’d not be cycling it round again.
