smudge65 Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Hi I may be wrong but think currently it's every 3 years, but I have it in my head that at last training was told they were thinking of changing it to every 2 years but one day only! finleysmaid Posted January 11, 2018 Share Posted January 11, 2018 must admit to not having a clue where this information might have come from..or perhaps its just my useless LEA but i am not aware of any regulations regarding this!! which considering we always have SEND children in the setting might be a bit of an issue (of course happy to be proven wrong...but even if that's the case my LEA do not put on any courses so we could be in real trouble!!) lynned55 Posted January 25, 2018 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Ha, ha Me also!! I think my SENCO and I did our final (6) around 12/14 years ago as well. She goes to most SENCO forums as well but no one has ever mentioned how often this should be done. Given we (myself and my staff) have all done it over six weeks and by no means consecutive weeks, renewing every 2 or 3 years would be extremely difficult if not downright impossible.
