FSFRebecca Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Ofsted have released 'Good' provider logos that you can use, if you are eligible (there is an eligibility checker). You can read the official news item from Ofsted here and it includes links to the download area - you will need your URN number and email address. There are also clear guidelines about how, when and where you may use the logo.
finleysmaid Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 thank goodness for that...now people can stop photoshopping the outstanding logo to make it appear they are outstanding when they are not!!! (gets me really cross  ) 4
FSFRebecca Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 I know of one setting who were reported to Ofsted for displaying an 'outstanding' logo when they had been judged 'good' - they had been 'outstanding' previously. Ofsted took a very dim view of it.
sunnyday Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 (edited) thank goodness for that...now people can stop photoshopping the outstanding logo to make it appear they are outstanding when they are not!!! (gets me really cross  ) I had no idea that people did that - what a liberty Edited April 7, 2017 by sunnyday 1

FSFRebecca Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Outstanding logos are readily available online with a Google search! The ones I know that were reported were 'dobbed in' by a local competitor .... 1
sunnyday Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Outstanding logos are readily available online with a Google search! Well I never - what a nerve to use an Oustanding logo if that is not your inspection outcome........ 2
blondie Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 thank goodness for that...now people can stop photoshopping the outstanding logo to make it appear they are outstanding when they are not!!! (gets me really cross  ) won't they still do this?
HoneyPancakes Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 The ones I know that were reported were 'dobbed in' by a local competitor .... Where you from Rebecca? If I use 'dobbed in' I'm faced with blank looks. Ditto 'dobbers don't have cobbers'. Colonial and proud me.
FSFRebecca Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 it's my earthly Scouse roots! Similarly 'Lolly ices' and 'Scally' 2
finleysmaid Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 won't they still do this? probably but maybe less so???? local secondary school has proudly displayed their Ofsted report on their banner with good in small letters and OUTSTANDING features in bold!!!...but then if i'd been RI for forever then maybe i'd do that too!!!!
lsp Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Just out of interest, what do outstanding providers think of this change? We are 'good' so are pleased with the change.
FSFRebecca Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 We have our Outstanding logos made into small enamel signs (30cmx30cm) and we have them on our front wall - like collecting Brownie badges - I prefer the ones with dates as it helps parents see how recently you were judged 1
blondie Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 i think it's great to be able to show everyone you are "good"-it's something to be proud of. My local primary school proudly shows a "good" banner after it was previously RI under different head -the new head and staff(some new) worked very hard to turn it round and quite rightly want to shout it out. I think whatever sign you have outside it should state school years eg 2016/17 so as Rebecca says it shows how recent this was 1
