Sunnyday, so sorry to hear about your granddaughter hope she makes a speedy recovery. Glad the shed is nearly complete! I expect Mr S is already planning the next one!  Shame you don’t live nearer, bass is all my husband is catching at the moment and all I want is pollack!  Ohh I want to know what happend at knitting group….
Nothing exciting here this week, same old same old.  Grandson is being christened on Sunday so have that this weekend.
Froglet that pumpkin cake is great. Clever you. Hope you enjoy half term, can’t quite believe it’s that time already!
Have a great weekend all.

Sue...Sue...Sue - louby is using that C word again!

Noted although have been so busy during September/October with work (not fun stuff lol) only just surfaced and clocked it - dare I say given all the shops especially garden centres are awash with stuff for the festive season (see still cannot say it in October)  I may have to let it go on this occasion 🙃

Mum and I went for a  mooch around B&M and the range the other day (what a way to celebrate your 91st birthday) and the range was like Christmas had been sick everywhere! 😱. Although I hold my hands up to buying my GS two of the cutest pairs of Christmas pyjamas!

Good morning -'tis Friday!

Thank you so much for the good wishes for my granddaughter - she is and I quote "completely back to normal" - phew.

Thanks too for my birthday wishes - I celebrated before the day (no good having a Monday birthday) with my various outings - all lovely - especially lunch with all family, I tell you organising my lot can be like herding cats, but all made it!

I'm thinking of zizag and mousie this morning - horrible weather in their part of the country - hope all is well with them.

I am granddog sitting this week - she hasn't been delivered yet - they must have decided to delay their journey and I am so pleased about that (who wants to tow and then set up a caravan in this weather)!  Uh oh - she has just arrived - soggy Spaniel anyone! 🐶🤣

House - still haven't exchanged - I have to try not to think about it...

Shed (bloody shed) all done now apart from the 'electrics' - 2 x parcels have arrived from Screwfix this morning - deep joy!

I had my Covid vaccine - the price had jumped from £93.00 to £99.00 in a week - just rude!

This weekend we will be lunching with one of Mr S' cousins and family on Sunday - another birthday celebration (not me, his wife) - they are just a lovely family so really looking forward to that!

Take care all - stay safe xxx

I have my own soggy spaniel thanks Sunnyday and usually my son’s soggy sprollie dog as well! Like a drowned rat I was when I got back with them yesterday! I’m so not ready for wet muddy dog walks again!  We haven’t blown away yet! I woke up at 4am and all was eerily calm and quiet, then woke up at 6am and all hell had broken loose! Luckily no damage and no power cut (as yet) but it’s still quite wild. Hope everyone else is safe and in tact.

I only just remembered what day it was! Happy Friday everyone and very belated Happy Birthday Sunnyday - just shows I haven't logged on since last week to get Cait's timely reminder!

I too have a soggy doggy as I'm dog sitting again. Her owner delivered her yesterday with lots of blankets to cover my sofa and chairs with and we had a lovely walk by the canal this morning. She's so funny though - I'd planned for a lovely long walk down the canal and through the park the long way round. Halfway down the towpath by one of the exits into town she stopped and clearly wanted to go that way - there was no way she was going any further forward so the walk was cut in half!

Family get together this weekend which will be lovely. I'm doing all the cooking for it as my lovely mum and dad aren't up to that any more so I am in my element. I've made garlic bread and veggie lasagne, vats of different kinds of soup and next will be working on a cheese and onion quiche and decorating a 'bonfire cake' - basically a sticky ginger layer cake with treacle toffee flavoured icing!

Lots of audiobook listening while I'm pottering in the kitchen.

Stay safe in the stormy weather everyone!
