Good morning - 'tis Friday

How is everyone? I am going to have to send out search parties for young Froglet and Fm soon 🤣 no seriously, hope both are okay...

Off to watch youngest granddaughter in 'Matilda' this afternoon - she has spent the week at a drama workshop type thingy - really looking forward to that.

Hope the weekend is kind to all x

Afternoon all.

A very non eventful week for me 😊, have had a few trips out with the GC, but only doing routine things!

It is very quiet here I must agree, and like sunnyday hope everyone is well.

I have a two night sleepover with the GD to look  foward to tomorrow - I have been given a list of 'games we will be playing' and have been told we need to make passports! 🤣

Sunnyday have a lovely afternoon at Matilda xxx

Have a good weekend all.

Ahhh, thank you both. I'm ok - just have been really busy and not doing anything very interesting to tell you all about.

However, I do have some news... I have resigned from my job as of the end of this term. So I'm spending this week and next wrapping things up and setting them in order and then I am not in school for a bit. I'm going to take time to properly rest - it's been a very long time since I had a holiday without a school TDL to complete and then I'm gradually going to start doing other things and hopefully begin to find my sparkle again.

I'm a strange mixture of looking forward to and being very apprehensive about it but it will definitely be a new experience with lots to learn from!

Whoa young Froglet that is big news - are you moving to a different school - are you giving up teaching altogether?

Whichever and whatever - I wish you nothing but the best going forward xxx

Thanks Sunnyday. For now I am just stopping. I want to spend a little more time with family whose circumstances have changed but am also going to take the opportunity to try some things out that I’ve had in mind for a while.

Goodness Froglet that is a huge decision.  Good for you for making such a huge decision, I’m sure you will not regret it. Sometimes there just comes a point when you have to prioritise.  I haven’t regretted leaving for one second and I really think that you instinctively know when that time comes. I wish you all the luck in the world for whatever the future brings.
It’s been so great this week to have been able to do loads of jobs in the garden, feel like I have caught up a bit, and now the rain is here again!  Sunnyday hope the performance was good.  Happy weekend all.

Wow Froglet! Well done in taking such a big decision, I wish you all the best with whatever comes next.

Have a great weekend all, hopefully the weather isn’t too unkind.

I’m impatiently waiting for our own little hatchling as new GC is due any day 🐣

Oh Mousie - every good wish for the safe arrival of your 'little hatchling' ❤️

Matilda was really good (last Friday) - I want to know why my youngest granddaughter can learn lines and be absolutely word perfect and yet can't apply that to her weekly spellings 🤦‍♀️🤣

I am organising a little garden Easter egg hunt for the two youngest today - should be fun!

Sunday lunch invitation to eldest son's house - looking forward to that.

Happy Easter one and all x

@Mouseketeer Any News 🐣 - Really hope all is well.

Easter weekend flew by with 2 days of lovely weather and 2 of ok/bit chilly weather

Managed to see most of the family over the weekend either in real life or via FaceTime so that was nice.

Hubby and I shared one normal sized bar of Lindt Hazelnut chocolate so were were very good on the chocolate front - bottles of wine??? Maybe not so much 🤣

Have a good short week one and all xx

Easter weekend was lovely, lots of time with family which is by far my favourite way to spend my time...

Just off now for a trim but nothing else planned for today

Hope everyone is okay and that for those still working the new term has got off to a good start for you.

Have a good weekend all x

Hello all,

Well, to get myself over the hurdle of not going back to school when everyone else I knew was I went to York for a couple of days. Gentle pootling round the Minster and other sites and sitting eating icecream (it was a beautiful day) in a park. Since coming back I'm gradually building a new way to do things for me involving lots of rest, reading and crafting (I have a pair of socks and a blanket as my main projects at the moment although there are SO many unfinished projects in my house). I'm also steadily sorting out my house and tidying/cleaning so it starts to feel loved again. I'm enjoying a daily walk and starting to realise that it's not necessary to try to do multiple things at the same time!

Sounds perfect.  I wonder if we were in York at the same time?!
With the help of a very good friend, I’ve been decorating the living room - something that’s seriously needed it for a few years, but Mike wouldn’t have coped with the upheaval of it all.  I’m going slowly as I don’t want to feel I’m eradicating him from this space, but it will look very different and calm when it’s finished.

Hi all, I hope everyone had a good Easter 🐣, I ate enough chocolate in a weekend to more than  make up for the 40 days I’d given it up 🙈

I’m now nanna to a granddaughter (Chloe) all went well and quickly,  (thanks for asking Sue), very excited to be able to knit/make girly things 💗

That’s really lovely news! Are you ‘allowed’ to do traditional colours?   I had to do orange and green 🤢

Afternoon all.

All in all a pretty bog standard week here - nothing exciting to report!

Weather has been nice though- which always makes people feel better 😊

Hope everyone has a good weekend and making the most of the Bank Hol if you're still working but have the day off.

Hi all

@Mouseketeer delighted to hear your little one has arrived all safe and sound 💟

The weather is fab here in Sussex although it is suppose to be a little cooler at the weekend - I have my niece staying and she has requested a stomp on the downs so that will suit me if it is a little cooler especially as I would like to take the dog with us.

Have fun whatever you all do with your long weekends x

I have had a lovely week with lots of reading and crochet. Visited a local nursery and bought some sweet peas and strawberries to plant at home - I've always wanted to grow sweet peas. Am gradually getting the downstairs of my house sorted out and have bought some theatre tickets for the future. The sunshine has been beautiful - lots of meals outside although my garden is such a suntrap that I can only do about 15 minutes in the afternoon when the sun is full on it!

You have bought back a memory!  Many, many years ago, as a newly wed, in our new (to us) house in the village I grew my first lot of sweetpeas .... i was so proud of them I decided to enter them into the Village show.  I turned up with my '5' best stems, the man gave me a bit of a funny look but let me in - then I saw the other entrants 😮😮😮😂  I tried to take mine home again, but the man made me leave them saying it actually demonstrated that 'anyone' can- and should enter. and that if my entry 'inspired more people' to try then I actually would have one the top prize- even if it I  wasn't the given trophy. 🏆😊
