zigzag
Am so glad it's Friday for so many reasons. Anyone else feel like they are juggling about twenty plates in the air just to keep going? Am truly worn out and worn down at the end of this week. And no it's not really the children that have me like this. I have a lovely staff but they are like flaming sheep, they are more than happy to just let me run around like a blue ***** fly and initiate and lead everything that goes on. I knew it was going to be hard in September because my wonderful deputy of fourteen years has retired but I am knackered all ready!! Sorry to moan, but am feeling a bit down and its only the beginning of term.
Helen
If it's a nice day where you are- just sit in the sun for ten minutes. If it's not, I find a nice glass often does the trick....although I have noticed it's only 3.45! :1b

Think it may have to be the alcoholic suggestion!!
Panders
Its thick fog down here, I cannot even see the fields at the front of my house!! Think it may have to be the alcoholic suggestion!! Well as they say, the sun is going down somewhere in the world just get on and have it I say! Yes my lovely deputy left after 3 years and we are struggling on 3 until the end of September, and don't know where all the time goes - well I do, mainly in the loo, or cleaning/clearing up! Still don't think we are are that point where I can say our operation is "slick". But we are managing. There will certainly be a G&T later on as I sit and contemplate next week's planning! Whilst we don't always like telling other people directly what to do, I am a dreadful one for thinking "well if I can see it, and know that it needs doing, why can't they?" I do believe you will have to start saying, "it would be great if you could help out right now by doing xxx, or, while I am doing this would you mind doing that please ......" Fredbear
Oh I so feel the same. Feel like I have spent my whole week spinning around. As well as helping our fab committee decorate a 32 ft lorry for our local carnival tomorrow. May you all get some rest, recharge your batteries and be ready to do it all again next week, hee hee. Guest sn0wdr0p
Open day for us tomorrow so still here sorting for that. Wonderful staff have only just left so feeling a little lonely and will be so for some hours to come. Then back here again early in the morning. Interviews all afternoon tomorrow as well for new school escorts. Absolutely shattered but will have to get up really early in the morning to cover my grey roots as it may be posible local news are coming as well AND my 50th birthday on Sunday so best not to look as old as I feel at the moment and a 'surprise' meal to go to. Good thing this forum is anonymous or they would realise I have sussed the surprise. Finleysmaid I think I may partake of a couple of your drinks as well on Sunday. Only drink alcohol about twice a year (and whatever it is I MUST have maraschino cherries in it). I'll only have a couple on your behalf though so plenty left for October for you. All I really want for my birthday is sleep, a good book, my husband to take the three boys out, chocolates and peace and quiet. zigzag
Sn0wdr0p sounds like a busy day tomorrow, hope it goes well. Many happy returns for Sunday and hope you enjoy your "unsurprise!!" Are you practising your surprised face? Have just had a bath much to the shock of my family, I hate baths and think the last time I had one was thirteen years ago when my son was born! Am feeling more relaxed and have managed to resist the wine (for now anyway) Planning all done and am not doing anything for school this weekend!!
