zigzag Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Just need to have a moan!! Like everyone else I was so looking forward to half term, REALLY needed the break had loads of 'too do jobs' planned and was even being treated to the theatre today. But oh no, Monday morning myself, my son and my husband all go down with some horrible flu like virus. Have been flat on my back ever since!! Have got upright today at last. Still feel dreadful and half term is almost over. Apparently the theatre was fab, I am so fed up. Just thinking that it really is dedication to my work to get ill during the holidays and never during term time!!!!:-( Quote
Rea Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Oh that's just typical, always the way isn't it? Hope you feel better really quickly Quote
Fredbear Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Oh what a shame, wishing you all better. Quote
Panders Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I expect you let your defences down when you are off and become more vulnerable to infection. Hope you all feel better really quickly and can have a fab day out together over the weekend - blow the to do list Quote
Melba Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 We are spending half term putting back up all the bits of fence that blew down on Friday last week! Obviously it it quite good that I am here for that but not exactly the holiday I was planning! Quote
sunnyday Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Oh zigzag what rotten luck - hope you feel miles better really soon......... Oh dear Melba - all I can say is 'happy fence mending' Quote
Froglet Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Poor you! Don't do your to do list - rest and recover properly! I hope you get your theatre treat at some point in the not too distant future. Melba - GL with the fence mending! Quote
Guest sn0wdr0p Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Poor you.Typical eh, what bad timing. I went all through my primary school without a single day off school despite stomach upsets, chicken pox etc. which always occurred in the school holidays. I can remember being truly miffed about it. lashes2508 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Oh zigzag ,sounds just how I was at Christmas, I think it's because we soldier on knowing we can't afford to be off and when we get the chance of 'me ' time our bodies just seem to invite the virus round to play. Just try and rest rest rest ,what you can't do today will still be there tomorrow , the most important thing is getting back to good health . Sending big hug and lots of good germs to act as warriors against those bad ones x Quote
