HoneyPancakes
Where's the 'not like' for Lashes? Next year yes! xx I've had a wonderful day, (really gorgeous) but spent most of it in, or on the verge of tears. Am just so filled up with how wonderful my little boys are - (picture small nine and seven year olds in their choristers robes bringing flowers to me in church) and I really want to show my mum how great they are - but she never saw them. She died when I was pregnant with number one. It's not been such an issue before - must be hormonal. Booking in for some therapy. HappyMaz
Oh Honey I know just where you're coming from. I too have found this Mother's Day more difficult than most. I made a photo montage video of some of the things my mum has missed over the years. Not a dry eye in the house!

lashes2508
and me too and i suppose my post was just a little selfish when there are others whose mums are not around physically anymore but my personal belief is those we have loved and said goodbye to are never far away , maybe that's where the extra emotion came from Honey and maz as your mums were so near to you without you quite realising watching every step you and your children take and still feeling that enormous pride in the children they left behind to carry on the good work they did while they were here on earth xxx

Froglet
I don't have any of my own children but on Tuesday one of my little girls gave me a small bunch of flowers and a card in which she'd written : Hape muthus dai! That nearly finished me off and it was only 9 o'clock!

Froglet
I know, very touching especially as it's highly unlikely I'll ever have any of my own. It always makes me smile when they accidentally call me 'mummy' - was a little less impressed when I got called 'Nana'!
sunnyday
That reminded me of one of my most treasured 'possessions' - a little note written on a piece of scrap paper - I found it in my granddaughters school bag when she was in reception......she had written: 'I'm having a good day today 'cos' my nana is picking me up' It is on my fridge door secured by a little magnetic photo of her at that age - I love it and it makes me smile every time I look at it :1b
