HappyMaz
Amazing. Although even in the days when I had a mobile without a proper keyboard I never ever used txtspk. Oh dear. I just did.
Steve
Back in the olden days I worked with Ericsson when Vodafone had only just implemented the first UK mobile network. We used to use text back then (or SMS as we called it) to help get information about mobile networks back and forth. Nobody ever thought it would catch on with the public...

Guest
My family and friends laugh at me because I never use textspeak. All my texts are fully written and punctuated. (As you can probably tell I am a big fan of Lynne Truss). I know I'm a bit of a dinosaur, and texts can take me ages to compose, but I refuse to give in. Rea
I hate misspelled and grammatically incorrect texts with TXT and M8 and all the other rubbish, one of my friends does txtspk and it takes me ages to work it out! Although she does tend to speak the same way! There's no way it can be misinterpreted if it's written out properly!
