Mouseketeer Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Hi, does anyone have anything in their collection policies regarding the age of people collecting children ? I am in the process of reviewing ours and was going to include no persons under the age of 18 unless they have parental responsibility but maybe 16 is better ?
Rea Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Ours says 16. It used to be 18 but a parent complained that we wouldnt let her nearly 17 year collect his little sister and when we stopped to think about it, 18 did seem to old. It helps though if you know the family a little. Although, if you've read the thread about laving your children behind, I dont suppose age is relevalnt to being able to look after a child! 3
diesel10 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Ours was 18 but recently a huge (taller than me) 16 year old brother collected as agreed with the Mum so i will be changing the policy to over 16.
sunnyday Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Ours states 16 too (I have turned a blind eye to a fifteen year old sister collecting - only because I know the family on a 'personal basis')
Guest Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 ours is 16. we let a 15 year old sister collect too as mum has agreed, but she should really be at school. they all truant ...
Guest Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Ours is 16 and the parent has to tell us tht they give permission for them to collect their child before hand x x
Mouseketeer Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 Thank you all, think I,ll go with 16 too
