Guest Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 hi all! I finally got onto my childminding course and really need to get an eyfs pack although I know these can be downloaded I would work better with a hard copy. The pack is still not online to order andI have check out ebay but there is nothing on there at the mo. So i thought I would beg on here! does any one have a spare pack? i would be willing to pay. Cait Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Download and then you can use what you need for now. There seems to be a shortage at the moment - have you asked your early years team?
Guest Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I'd download for now, hopefully in light of the review new editions will soon be available, and congratulations!!!
louby loo Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) Yes I'd spend your money on ink and paper and not put money in someones ebay account for a 'free publication' To be honest I cut the spines off mine and put it all together in one ring folder anyway- as it then stays nicely open when i'm reading/working with it, also I can remove individual pages as necessary. xx Edited February 5, 2011 by louby loo
Panders Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Exactly what i did Louby Lou. So infuriating when the book shuts just at a crucial moment!
Sue R Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Why didn't I think of that!!! We usually get new starters (staff, I hasten to add) to order their own copy - last time one tried she was told that due to the review none were being sent out.
Stargrower Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Yes, I was told the same thing when we needed some more packs. There won't be any more printed or sent out until its all been reviewed. Beehive
Guest jenpercy Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 As we are an after school setting with mostly older children which will be closing later this year - we have 3 which are surplus to requirements. Reading the EYFS pack is the last thing on my mind. I have to clear out a rented garage, my loft and loads of cupboards at the setting full of stuff which was going to be for the second setting that never materialised. I will find out how much to send one and then will accedpt paypal (as a gift so no charges to me)

Guest Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Have you got a link to the printable version please thanks
thumperrabbit Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Education_requirements_2008.pdf Welfare_requirements_2008.pdf Now Ive never done an attachment before so this may not have worked but fingers crossed
thumperrabbit Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 congratulations! There'll be no stopping you now! Wow....if only work was so easy!
Guest Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Just to let you all know that when the changes have been made to the EYFS (comes out at end of this year to be implemented next!) there will be no hard copies and just available as a down load. Rubbish if you ask me!!!
HoneyPancakes Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Would be nice if the new edition (especially of the practice guidance) was in a format which could be a working document ie: in a table format. Honey
Guest jenpercy Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Well the last one wasn't very user friendly, even on-line it was a bugger to find what you wanted. So if it is organised into useable chunks that you could download and print off what you need. the last one had a dvd included, so it looked like you could easily print off what you needed, but it rthen referred you straight on-line - so that we couldn't use it where we haven't a computer - so no difference there
suebear Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Download only? That'll please my husband, I'm never off the computer as it is and I was so looking forward to sitting down with a good book! So long as they don't then expect me to print it all off to take on courses!
