JacquieL
There's always next months competition. Yes I think Steve was just buzzing on this thread after a mouthfull of royal jelly. It's like that Roald Dahl story 'Royal Jelly' where a couple keep bees and feed their baby daughter royal jelly and she turns into a bee. A very creepy story.. not that I'm suggesting Steve is creepy, far from it
Cait
I'm here - I'm having my first ever day off sick, with my rotten tonsillitis. Food tastes like poo - perhaps I should try the royal jelly - can't be worse than the banana I had for breakfast which tasted indescribably awful! So, CBE's daughter No, Jack Higgins' daughter it was, sorry for causing marital strife - but if you read the posts around there again you'll see where I was interjecting. Ok off to gargle - what do you think in my hot water this time, TCP, salt or aspirin?
Gezabel
- what do you think in my hot water this time, TCP, salt or aspirin? TCP is my 'favourite'. I have my 'boy in blue' sent home late last night with 'revolting' looking tonsils - yuck, yuck yuck - he is just off to the docs as I think antibiotics are the real answer. Wishing you a speedy recovery, tonsillitis is really miserable
Cait
yeah I was wondering if I should see if I can get some 'humptymanotics' as my daughter used to call them
Inge
and depends on your need as to what to gargle, aspirin is my fave, kills the pain and helps reduce inflammation... but hey what to I know.. gone a bit serious now... but a long way from I want a mug.... Inge bees seem to have vanished for a while....
Gezabel
but a long way from I want a mug.... Inge AH! but maybe if Cait hasn't already got one, a MUG is just what she needs to mix the gargle in and of course a mug has therapeutic properties and would make her feel better
Cait
I have one thanks - perhaps I should be using that to mix the gargle in instead of 'Worlds best Mum; mug ......
Guest
Gargle with few drops of tea tree oil in water - very effective and kills the bacteria. Hope you get better soon ppp

Panders
Dear Poorly Cait - I too had tonsilitis about 3 weeks ago - and couldn't take any time off - no one available to cover with right qualifications. I was absolutely miserable, had hantibotics which did help from day 3. First 2 days would come home at midday and go to bed and get up only to take painkillers and hantibotics. Hope you are feeling better very soon. xx
