zigzag Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 So each year organisations in the village are invited to decorate a very small tree to go in the church. This year’s theme is peace on earth. All I can think of getting our children to do is glittered doves to hang on the tree. I did look at all the symbols of peace from around the world and wonder about doing something with them, but that really is way above our age group. Does anyone have any fabulous ideas for me? Thank you in advance?
zigzag Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 What do you reckon to lots of handprint doves like this one hanging from the tree? 2
sunnyday Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I like it! Can't think of anything else that symbolises 'peace'........

finleysmaid Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 how about hanging up bits of an atlas jigsaw puzzle ......piece on Earth!!!!! might look good hung with some pretty ribbons 3
Froglet Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Could you all snip white feather shaped pieces of paper to be dove’s feathers? 1
Mouseketeer Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Would happily snip white feathers for you ...or you could get a cheap (or old) feather pillow and use the feathers, let them stick the feathers over a dove body template (size dependent on tree) then put fan like folded paper through body for wings :-)
zigzag Posted November 30, 2017 Author Posted November 30, 2017 I love the peas on earth, not quite sure how well it would go down though!! When completed I will post a photo. I’m afraid I am going for quick and simple as I was not planning on doing this but have been unsuccessful in delegating this chore sorry I mean activity so it is actually not really my top priority at the moment! Thanks for all the ideas.?
Mouseketeer Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I know what you mean, we used to get involved with this each year but don’t now. I like these though and no more effort really than play dough
