Stargrower
I am thinking of putting our school leavers' Tapestry Learning Journals onto USB sticks this year instead of printing them. When we have children who have been with us since they were babies, their Learning Journeys are huge! Has anyone else done this? If so, where did you get your USB sticks from and how much did they cost? Did you get 'branded' ones with the name of your setting? Thank you. NickyR
We just burn them onto a disk, it's so much cheaper.
diesel10
or you can just make them available for parents / carers to download. They can do what they want then.
mrsbat
We gave parents the choice to either bring a memory stick/card or disc in or they could download them themselves
Stargrower
We have to pass ours directly to school though, as part of our funding contract. Maybe a disc is the way to go. Thanks
LKeyteach
I provide a disc but ask if parents want to provide a stick I can do that for them.
MarshaD
We PDF them and do it in volumes if they're large which I email to parents / schools. Only print them if family doesn't have access to a computer.

GFCCCC
We are providing each parent with memory stick branded with our logo containing their Tapestry journal and a copy of the musical slideshow which we produce each year and show at the leavers party. I have been quoted £3.53 + VAT each. which works out at £4.24. It is a little bit expensive but we budget it in as part of our leavers celebration and it saves us a bit on printing/paper/folders. Angieblue
We put ours onto memory sticks for all of our children last year. I ordered them from Amazon, I don't think they were too expensive, we just absorb the cost as part of their leaving gifts. Parents were really pleased with them. Sarah_Church
Hi, We order bulk USB sticks from Amazon. Last year worked out at £2 per stick, this year increased to £3! We ask parents to cover the cost of this, which they are more than happy to do. We also put a label on the stick with the nursery logo and child's name and year they 'graduated'. It can be slightly time consuming but great to have something physical to give the parent when they leave. This year I'm also planning on putting 'extra' bits (pictures, paintings, all about me books etc) in a black wallet folder for parents. I think they will appreciate having everything from the start of their child's journey at Nursery.

We buy them from Flashbay. They will send a box of samples and quote the same day. Very helpful people. Also offered to transfer all the data for us.
