louby loo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Morning all, Sunnyday, I too am amazed at peoples generosity during these hard times - our's raised a whopping £1500 this year! (very round figure so I guessing someone rounded it up 😍) Cold, wet and getting windy here today .... so me and a poorly cat are going to snuggle up with a blanket and book for a few hours I think. Might even have a hot chocolate! 2 Quote
sunnyday Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Wow Louby - £1500 that is amazing! Sorry your cat is poorly, hope he/she will be okay? Enjoy your snuggle time sounds perfect to me! Quote

My poorly cat (18 yrs old currently with a bad eye) has ditched me and found herself a cosy bed- I feel I have not yet been forgiven for the trip to the vets yesterday! 1 Quote
Froglet Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Those coffee mornings did so well! Great news. I'm snuggled in front of the fire. I have been sounded out about doing some baking for a pumpkin trail which was flattering and a great excuse to spend ages browsing baking websites! Very wet here today too! Stay safe everyone. 2 Quote
zigzag Posted October 5 Posted October 5 A bit late to the register this week! The storm wasn’t too bad down here thank goodness. I’m absolutely loving being a Nana, my heart just swells to twice the size when I look at him. Can’t wait for the fun adventures that we will share in the future. just off to work, then roast with all the family. Have a lovely Sunday all. 2 Quote
sunnyday Posted October 5 Author Posted October 5 I thought that I might share my little adventure: Yesterday morning I was pegging out washing - the wind was so strong that I was starting to worry that I might end up in the 'Land of Oz' 🤣 when I heard 'c-r-a-c-k' that unmistakeable sound of a tree breaking... It was our neighbour's Sumac tree - it has broken and in turn crashed through our fence... Quick call to neighbour - he immediately cut the tree (good job we are country folk and fully equipped with chainsaws!) - fence is currently 'propped up' - no sign of him this morning but surely he must realise that it is down to him to repair the fence...I do hope so 2 Quote
Froglet Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Oh goodness Sunnyday, glad you weren't re-enacting the Wicked Witch's role under the tree! We have lots of mess on the street as one of the (many) skips on it was full including some bits of loft insulation, cardboard and the odd bit of lino which have blow everywhere. 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Good morning - 'tis Friday (again!) How is everyone? I have had a busy week and quite looking forward to a (hopefully) quieter weekend. My neighbour really needs to get on with the fence repairs as I am on granddog sitting duties for half-term week - hmmm - it's a delicate balance between wanting to be calm and reasonable and being 'walked all over' - hey ho if that's all I have to worry about I am very lucky! Hope that the weekend is kind to all x Quote
Froglet Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Good morning! Pretty quiet week here. Went to see some beautiful Diwali decorations yesterday and have finished a pair of socks. When I first got into sock knitting I bough loads of yarn that was pretty and people have given me some over the years. I've decided I need to use it up before I buy any more but want to try and come up with some different patterns using it. Other than that I'm still working my way through the various craft kits I've been given over the years which is fun. Next week is much busier - a couple of nights out with friends and I've been asked to bake a load of pumpkin/autumn themed things for a pumpkin trail so I'm really enjoying looking for ideas for that. Have a good weekend all. 1 Quote

louby loo Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Afternoon all. I did start to post this mroning - but got distracted. Any I feel I need to post this photo to make myself accountable to my slight addiction ... This is just the tip of the iceberg.... 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Oooh louby that is a seriously beautiful notebook stash - I am more than a little envious! ❤️🤣 Quote
Froglet Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Is this the point where I say 'Buying notebooks and using them are two completely different hobbies?' 😉 I love a beautiful notebook! 1 Quote

louby loo Posted Thursday at 15:45 Posted Thursday at 15:45 Hi All, Hope everyone is well. Early check in for me this week as I have a busy day with an early start tomorrow 😮 Nothing overly exciting- but I do promise not to buy any notebooks whilst out!😁 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted Friday at 09:14 Author Posted Friday at 09:14 Louby beat me to it today 😉 Good morning - 'tis Friday Half -term break for some! How it is already half term I really don't know. Louby - I will be most disappointed in you if you don't buy any notebooks 🤣 It has been a crazily busy week again - I am granddog sitting now 🐶❤️ Flu jab tomorrow - I know how to have a good time! Take care all x 1 Quote
Froglet Posted Friday at 11:29 Posted Friday at 11:29 Louby - nothing wrong with another notebook! Sunnyday - enjoy the dog sitting and the flu jab! I went for my flu jab this week and totally embarrassed myself when they asked for my date of birth and I said the wrong one! Only out by a day but I have no idea why I said it. This could be a slippery slope... Pumpkin trail baking went well and I enjoyed the night out but my 'social battery' has run out and I'm having a quiet couple of days crocheting. I have friends coming for dinner tomorrow so need to think of what to feed them. I fancy veggie lasagne but haven't yet found a recipe I love so it maybe something different! Have a good weekend everyone! 1 Quote
Cait Posted Sunday at 12:11 Posted Sunday at 12:11 Can we take a minute to wish Sunnyday a very happy birthday!! Yey these years go round super-fast as our age increases! Scary! Have a fabulous day, my friend! XxxxxxxxX 2 Quote
Froglet Posted Sunday at 15:52 Posted Sunday at 15:52 Absolutely! Thanks so much for the reminder Cait! Have the happiest of birthdays Sunnyday! Hope you have something lovely planned. 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Thank you very much Cait, young Froglet and Louby x These birthdays come round far too quickly 🤣 Mind you I am apparently "too young and too healthy" to qualify for an NHS Covid vaccine - I am now £90.00 poorer as I have just paid for one! Weather is dire here - roads are flooded - horrible drive to the pharmacy - will be staying in for the rest of the day - have to break it to granddog that she won't be getting a second walk... 1 Quote
