Really hope it sorts itself before Thursday 🤞🤞 I’ve had great skin once I got over the teenage spots, then six months ago I noticed bumps, rashes and tiny blisters. I ignored it and thought it would go away but then it started flaring up and getting very red. I finally went to the doctors and this is what I was diagnosed with. I’ve done lots of reading about it since and It’s been a real eye opener. So many triggers! Basically you have to work out what triggers you! But I’ve seen a lot of photos and my goodness what an awful condition it is for some people. I put mine down to an increase in my HRT patches as it started then! 1 2 Quote

Mouseketeer Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Hi All the weeks just seem to fly by, only 2 weeks to Easter hols for those counting down 🙌 bring it on, it’s been hard term, challenging behaviours, staff resignation (prob the best thing tbh), and now all this government BS over funding 😡 enjoy the weekend everyone 😊 Quote

Cait Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Fabulous! What’s your clan tartan? Did you hire or own? We bought our son a new kilt and kit for his wedding and it was well into four figures back then in 2014! He’s had loads of wear out of it, living as he does in Fife. Graduations, weddings, big group get togethers - any opportunity. He’s put on a bit of weight these days though sadly, from his wedding 22” waist ( or less, can’t remember) so I’m going to have to move the leathers a bit. Edited March 26 by Cait 1 Quote
zigzag Posted March 26 Posted March 26 It’s just the Cornish tartan. They hired them. When they first told me that’s what they were doing I was not convinced but they all looked fantastic. 1 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted March 28 Author Posted March 28 Good morning - 'tis Friday Goodness another week has just flown by. We had some 'excitement' here on Saturday when a friend who was very kindly delivering some wood for Mr S (wood for carving) managed to reverse his van straight into our little shed 🤦♀️ never mind - no-one hurt that is the important bit - shed has been fixed up...van hmm not too sure... We enjoyed a family get together for youngest son's birthday on Sunday which was just lovely. Hasn't the weather been beautiful although it is chilly and overcast today. Looking forward to watching youngest granddaughter in a drama school performance on Sunday - it is titled 'Dare to Dream' - should be good! Hope that the weekend is kind to all x 1 Quote
louby loo Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Morning all. Funny old week here, had a few ups and downs - but ended on a good note. 😁 I am pleased to say- I have not been stuck in one traffic jam since the end oflast October (on my 2x 3 miles, 3 times a week- term time only journeys 🤣) I know this because this Sunday mroning the clock in my car will be now be correct! I only bother changing it if I'm stuck in traffic and bit bored 🤷♀️ 1 1 Quote

zigzag Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Been a good week weather wise here as well. Long may it continue. Just need it to warm up so can start sowing some seeds and digging the allotment over. Can’t wait. Am a very thankful lady today. I had to attend a breast cancer centre yesterday for some tests which was scary but thanking my lucky stars that it’s only cysts and nothing sinister. Been a worrying two week wait (grateful that the wedding was a distraction) But how privileged are we to have such an amazing NHS service. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. 1 2 Quote

Phew - thank goodness for that x I found myself on 'the two week' pathway last year - this for suspected bladder cancer - I had planned my funeral 🤦♀️ what a nutcase I am - I had a CT scan and then a cystoscopy (not a nice experience) and was given the 'all clear' - the relief was just amazing. 1 1 Quote
zigzag Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I agree Sunnyday the relief is huge! Sounds silly but you don’t realise until afterwards just how much the worry has been crushing you. Literally felt two stone lighter when I walked out (I wish). 1 1 Quote
sunnyday Posted Friday at 08:59 Author Posted Friday at 08:59 Good morning - 'tis Friday Another busy week which has just flown by... How is everyone - those still working - hopefully all breaking up today for Easter! Isn't the weather just amazing - today 23 degrees forecast for my little corner of the country - yay! Hope that the weekend is kind to all x 2 Quote
louby loo Posted Friday at 13:43 Posted Friday at 13:43 Afternoon all, Now on the Easter break 😁 Been to my dance/fitness class- dragged Andy along and he enjoyed it too, followed by lunch at the garden centre. A good start to the weekend, and hopefully the good weather continues. 😊 x 2 Quote
zigzag Posted Friday at 18:03 Posted Friday at 18:03 Benn beautiful weather down here except the vicious East wind! But at least it’s dried up all the mud! Am hoping to get some seeds planted this weekend, am chomping at the bit to get the veg garden ready for the season! I had to laugh today when I had to ask someone when the schools break up for Easter! It’s funny how quickly you get out of tune with the term times! Have a great break those of you that do get a break. Have a lovely weekend all. 1 Quote

Thanks Zigzag 🙌 If any of you are keeping up with the PVI sector bashing by the government this week you must be super pleased to be out of it all. Quote

Mouseketeer Posted yesterday at 10:31 Posted yesterday at 10:31 (edited) First off they’ve updated funding guidance on how parents can use it, basically it’s all in favour of parents with no thought to providers sustainability….we can still ‘ask’ for a consumable fee but we have to drive home that’s it’s voluntary and give the option to bring all that we cover with it …..we all know parents won’t turn up with half the stuff requested, providers can no longer break the hours up e.g. charge a lunch time fee and have to be able to use only funded hours if that’s what they want, settings can no longer say they offer x amount of funded spaces and charge for the rest, all have to be available as funded, this all had to be in place by 1st Apr with no consultation and hardly any time to rework business models. Then they announced financial help for the rise in NI but only for school based settings, they already get a higher funding rate, the PVI sector isn’t included in this support 😠 Then they’ve announced their plan to open 300 nurseries in schools, actually putting in print that it will give ‘better standards of early years education for your little ones’ , another kick in the teeth for all the providers out there giving our little ones a great education 😡 Edited yesterday at 10:35 by Mouseketeer 1 Quote

I can tell you that 20 years ago I was convinced that the Government wanted rid of PVI settings That quote 'better standards...' is particularly hard to read and in my humble completely unjustified 1 Quote
