Does every nursery need to have an EYT?

Does every setting need to have an EYT or is it just good practice to have one?

Well........ it used to be that if you are open more than 4 hours per day then yes you needed to have one but no idea of the rules now...... I must say I only did my EYPS because of this rule and it changed not long after!

I did read somewhere the government would like every setting to have one by 2020 but can't find anything that says its mandatory

no not mandatory but it is in one of the party manifestos...lib dem I think.

Lots of reports recommend it and I too recently read something that said about every setting having one by 2020, but no it's not mandatory.
