Verona Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Hi I am looking for a font that has the number one as a straight line with no added bits and a number four that not like this 4. (Do you know what I mean?) I have started trawling through all the fonts I have on my laptop and then thought - hey someone on here might have the answer for me - so please can you help? V
pporteus Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 A subject close to my heart. I have lost many hours looking for a font with a straight number one. No luck yet though. Sassoon good for all other numbers.
Guest Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I use Sassoon for everything, then change the 1's to Gill Sans MT which gives a straight one. Very time consuming sometimes but 'find and replace' makes it quicker. Hope it works for you
Froglet Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Have a look at these: http://www.cursivewriting.org/precursive-fonts.html
Mouseketeer Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 http://www.fontspace.com I like this site, you can type the text/numbers you want in box and it brings them up in all the different fonts, free and easy to download.
Wildflowers Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Writing the capital letter 'I' for number 1 with the Sassoon font works: 0 I 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9.pdf Edited March 22, 2015 by Wildflowers 1
Verona Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Thanks for the info. I have Sassoon so will go with that. I hadn't though of using capital 'I" for the number one. Dooohhh !!! The font websites look interesting thanks. V
Cait Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I spent hours trawling fonts! It was 1,4,9, a, J, g, q, mainly I think. I had a font called elementary that I liked, that covered most of it!
Wildflowers Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Before buying Sassoon I used Comic Sans, but it has a 't' without a hook.
Cait Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Ooh don't like comic sans, it looks all wrong if you type something in capitals
MegaMum Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Just wondering what you are using these numbers for?
