Oh dear the code of practice has been revised and the amended version will come into effect 1st April, the government are not producing a document outlining the changes instead we have to sift through it and find the changes :(

shame they couln't have told us that the last one would only be in place for a few months before the next version is required. I might have then chosen to print only the EY sections rather than the whole flipping document, which of course I will now need to print again!! Also , is the parents guide going to be upated as well?

have just googled some more and found an old consultation that talks about the changes being proposed for the April 2015 COP. The annex at the end sets out the changes (i think!!)

Local Authority interpretations of the SEND Code of Practice are mixed, to say the least! IPSEA is a great charity which can advise parents on their legal rights, details here: https://www.ipsea.org.uk/

Phew!
