Cait
I did a jumper for my granddaughter with that method. It was the splitting for the head hole that was the most difficult bit 🤪🤪

Froglet
My latest pair of socks. My first proper attempt at colourwork. I started them the first day of the summer holidays but it’s taken three attempts to get the tension right so I could actually get them over my foot! 1

louby loo
They really are quite stunning. 😍 I'm still trying to decide if I can knit a two colour Christmas winter blanket made of squares!

Cait
I’ve read through this thread today looking for something. I’m sure someone on here made a weather scarf or weather blanket using colours of yarn to replicate the temperature/weather each day of the year. Does anyone remember? Have I dreamed it - it wouldn’t surprise me 🤣🤣🤭

Are you thinking of making one?
Cait
My sister in law is. I was trying to explain it to her. Picture would be lovely thanks and if you’ve got your ‘code’ it would be really helpful too. X

This one is crochet - one square per week. I noted the temperature at 7am each day and crocheted a round in the relevant colour. 1
louby loo
I did a stripey crohet one- one row for each day, I actually did that one as a 'pregancy blanket' from annoncement to birth. I also did a year one (2019), but in the end I made it into small blankets for the local hospital as I did'nt really like te finished affect! 😂 This one was a crohet hexagon- one for each day... it would have been quite big! Mine was birthday to birthday rather than January to December. I was quite tempted to do it again but taking a 7pm rather than 7am temperature. I know someone who did a square a day but with just two rounds - highest and lowest temperature. It was beautiful but I’m not sure I could cope with all the ends! That's what I did with my hexies, but was more of an 'inne'r flower, with an edging wihich is what made it a bit too big really.
Cait
This was an actual scarf done in stripes by temperature. But yes - all those ends!!! 😩😩
Froglet
Just finished this bag I started 10 months ago. The lining is fabric from a dress I made myself when I was 16/17 - definitely vintage. 1

Was it the centre white?

It's so long since I made it I'm not complete sure but I think I did the chain and then one row of double crochet in the cream and then worked out from both sides. I did separate rows on each side rather than working round in a circle if that makes sense. I have two spare squares I need to decide what to do with. I think my next project might be using the sock yarn my sister gave me for Christmas.
